The Internet has been buzzing for a few days now about Toronto Blue Jays pitcher Anthony Bass and a tweet that he sent out into the ether.

Netflix’s ‘Love Is Blind’ reunion show is now on Netflix, but that comes after a long day of delays and disappointment. The Season 4 cast of the smash-hit were set to get together for a live reunion show on Sunday afternoon, but Netflix failed to get the broadcast up and running. “To everyone who stayed up late, woke up early, gave up their Sunday afternoon… we are incredibly sorry that the Love is Blind Live Reunion did not turn out as we had planned,” Netflix tweeted. “We’re filming it now and we’ll have it on Netflix as soon as humanly possible. Again, thank you and sorry.”

McDonald’s has said it’s been tweaking the menu. The changes are subtle, but McDonald’s said Monday they’ve resulted in the company’s “best burgers ever”, which include new buns, added Big Mac sauce to Big Macs, and caramelized onions to patties while they’re on the grill.
The changes are being applied to the preparation of the signature Big Mac, the McDouble, and the classic cheeseburgers and hamburgers.
These changes have already happened on the West Coast and are moving across the country.
Paramore is currently on tour in Europe and are making headlines for joining the pack of artists that are publicly expressing their dismay with Ticketmaster. She called out the ticketing agency while on stage in Cardiff, Wales, saying, “I wanna say one more time how special it is that you’ve all made it tonight. We don’t take it lightly, we know, honestly, especially now, it’s a huge sacrifice to come to a show because Ticketmaster need to get their shit together.”
She continued, “We’ve put a lot of pressure on ourselves too because we were like, ‘People are spending money that they don’t have to come and hang out with us and we better give them something that’s worth that’. We just love you so much.”
Paramore is back stateside for a summer US tour starting on May 20.
Sitting duck mayor Lori Lightfoot spoke to camera crews on Monday and seemed unbothered by the scenes that have taken over your newsfeed. When asked about the situation that occurred in The Loop over the weekend, Lightfoot said, “Here’s the thing: the vast majority of the young people that came downtown came downtown because it was great weather and an opportunity to enjoy the city. That’s absolutely entirely appropriate. There were a few that came with different intentions, and they have and they will be dealt with, but I’m not going to use your language, which I think is wrong, to say that it was mayhem.”
The Mayor said she felt “ambushed” by the line of questioning.
Incoming mayor Brandon Johnson responded in a much more professional manor than Lightfoot. When asked about the situation, he stressed that the situation was “unacceptable”, later saying, “Our city must work together to create spaces for youth to gather safely and responsibly, under adult guidance and supervision, to ensure that every part of our city remains welcome for both residents and visitors. This is one aspect of my comprehensive approach to improve public safety and make Chicago livable for everyone.”
Soundgarden and the estate of the late Chris Cornell have reached an “amicable out-of-court resolution,” reconciling the long-running legal disputes between the two parties.
Three years after a temporary ballpark was built next to the original “Field of Dreams” in a cornfield in Dyersville, the facility is now in the midst of an $80 million expansion and Frank Thomas is behind it. The White Sox Hall of Famer bought a controlling interest in Go the Distance Baseball’s stake in the movie site and temporary ballpark in 2021.
Per WGN, “The project will add nearly 100 acres to the existing 190-acre site. When completed in 2025, it will include nine ball fields for youth baseball and softball, a 100,000-square-foot fieldhouse, a 104-room boutique hotel, an RV park, a concert amphitheater, jogging trails through the cornfields, and a park designed to be inclusive for children and adults with disabilities.”
The supermarket powerhouse is now doing damage control after a shirt went viral for containing a secret message. The core of the shirt is built around the letters “RE”, in an effort to promote recycling. “Recycle, Reuse, Renew, Rethink” are all made very clear on the shirt. It’s what’s hidden that had customers outraged.
I need this shirt before Walmart realizes what they have done. Find the hidden word. 😏😅 pic.twitter.com/OtiWsFlk3c

The merchandise was available at stores in Canada and was quickly scrapped, but you can find the t-shirt on Amazon.
Some Oregon drivers were caught by surprise when they hit the jackpot while on the roadways. Police say a 38-year-old man threw $200,000 in cash from his car as he drove along an Interstate in Eugene, Oregon. Reports say this drained his family’s bank account.
The family is now urging the lucky drivers that scooped up money during their commute to return the money to the family. One woman reported to Inside Edition that she gained $2,000 from the fiasco.
The cash-slinging bandit has not been charged with theft, as he had the right to access the bank account.
Two teens, a 16-year-old and a 17-year-old, were wounded by gunfire over the weekend as hundreds of teens descended on Millennium Park and caused chaos.
The crowd was trying to get into Millennium Park, but there are checkpoints around the perimeter and people under 21 are not allowed without an adult. The CTA said that services were partially disrupted through the downtown area on Saturday night because of police activity.
A family in Scottsdale, Arizona is reeling after they thought their daughter was being kidnapped. According to the mother, she got a call from her 15-year-old daughter while she was out of town on a ski trip and heard her sobbing on the other end of the line. A man appeared on the phone line and said, “Listen here. I’ve got your daughter. This is how it’s going to go down. You call the police, you call anybody, I’m going to pop her so full of drugs. I’m going to have my way with her and I’m going to drop her off in Mexico.”
The masculine voice first asked for $1 million, then later changed his ransom offer to $50,000.
It turned out all to be for not. In the midst of the commotion, the daughter was contacted and was confused at all of the chaos. She was perfectly safe. Someone had created an AI clone of her voice, which even matched her inflection points and crying.

Everyone here at Q101 would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to Captain Serious, Jonathon Toews, for being the face of the Blackhawks for the 14 seasons. A three-time Stanley Cup Champion with the Hawks, Toews has been a fearless leader, a positive influence, and an emotional rock for the city for a generation of diehard hockey fans.
Of course, #19 put one in the back of the net in his final game as a Blackhawk.
Toews has a lifetime worth of classic moments during his time leading the Blackhawks.
Metallica released their 11th studio album, ’72 Seasons’, at midnight. The band is gearing up for a world tour that is set to take them to Chicago in 2024 and they’ve unleashed “Sleepwalk My Life Away”, a seven-minute stomper, as the band’s newest single.
The National. ft. Phoebe Bridgers: Your Mind is Not Your Friend
The National have four upcoming sold out shows at Chicago’s Auditorium Theatre and a new album on the way in two weeks. The band has released a new video featuring Taylor Swift’s bestie and indie-turned-pop star Phoebe Bridgers. “Your Mind is Not Your Friend” is a gut-wrenching, introspective take on the hardships the human brain faces.
Hippo Campus: Wasteland
Minnesota-based Hippo Campus are back with a new EP that features a slew of incredible tracks. Now nearly a decade into their career, the band still has the unavoidable, youthful charm that brought them to the dance, but they now sound like professionals ready to take over the world. “Kick in the Teeth” is the finest track the new EP has to offer, but you can’t go wrong with any of the 5 songs that came out today.
Post Malone: Chemical
Post Malone is back with his first new song of the year. “Chemical” is a clear departure from Malone’s early sound and lacks the influence of Malone’s grungy favorites. It’s a definitive shift on a pop direction, but it’s still Post, thus it is still all-too-catchy.
Hot Mulligan: Gans Media Retro Games
Hot Mulligan, who are joining the likes of Taking Back Sunday and Motion City Soundtrack on this year’s Sad Summer Fest at Northerly Island, are back with a new single and a visually-gripping music video. Like always, the Lansing, Michigan-based emo quarter has chosen an alienating song title (other options in their catalogue include “How Do You Know It’s Not Armadillo Shells?” and “I Fell In Love With Princess Peach”), but the song still rips.
Balance and Composure: Savior Mode
Balance and Composure were almost “A Band”. A band that people all across the world really loved and cared about. Not just a critical success, but a commercial success. Had the wind blown in another direction, perhaps they’d be sitting atop the alternative throne right now, but that’s not the reality that we’re living in. The reality is, however, that Balance & Composure is back with their first new song in six years and it’s stunning. The jangly guitars, infectious lyrics, and unrelenting emotion of B&C is back. “Savior Mode” receives the fullest recommendation from Brian & Justin.
