The Kids in the Hall have reunited multiple times since the cancellation of their hit sketch comedy series in the mid-’90s, but they haven’t appeared on TV under their preferred moniker since 2010’s Kids in the Hall: Death Comes to Town. The first clip from Josh Homme’s appearance on Bedtime Stories has been released, and it sees the Queens of The Stone Age frontman showing an altogether softer side.

The singer is set to follow in the footsteps of Tom Hardy and Avengers star Chris Evans by taking part in the CBeebies show, which sees a famous face reading out a popular children’s bedtime story.

Now, the first footage from Homme’s appearance has been released, and it shows him reading out Julia Donaldson’s ‘Zog’ while accompanied by his friend SnoopBob Meatball, a toy dragon.

“Now, even dragons need to rest”, Homme softly tells viewers in the clip.

“It’s time for Snoop-Bob Meatball to go to sleep and you too! So snuggle up and dream of far away places. And I’ll see you soon for another bedtime story, night night!” (MORE HERE)

The Killers are truly an international sensation something that evident here locally when the Nevada based band headlined Lollapalooza. Every person I met at the fest that was from another country for Lolla, almost everyone of them mentioned they were there for Brandon Flowers and company. That global appeal continued in this viral hit from Austraila, where the band is set to provide the pre-show for the Australia Football League Grand Final this Saturday. It’s the Ausssie’s equivalent to the Super Bowl that is the championship game for Aussie rules football.

TOM MORELLO Reveals Abandoned AUDIOSLAVE Reunion Plans

According to BlabberMouth.net PROPHETS OF RAGE guitarist Tom Morello revealed in an interview with Music Feeds that he and late singer Chris Cornell — with whom Morello recorded and toured in AUDIOSLAVE — had discussed an innovative way to stage a reunion of the latter band before Cornell died last May. The idea came up after AUDIOSLAVE reunited for a brief three-song set last January, with Morello explaining: “We started talking about maybe doing some sort of similar thing where maybe it would be a PROPHETS OF RAGE show and then we would drop an AUDIOSLAVE set into the middle of it, and we’d have a ball.” (MORE HERE)

Damon Albarn has revealed that he wants to release another ‘surprise’ Gorillazalbum, much like they did with 2010’s ‘The Fall’.

While the band are currently on a world tour in support of their acclaimed 2017 album ‘Humanz‘, Albarn is already planning out their next record. In December 2010, Gorillaz fourth album ‘The Fall‘ was released with just five days notice as a free download. Bill Murray in talks to play Joe Maddon in Cubs World Series movie

Nothing is official yet, but Deadline has reported that Bill Murray is negotiating to play Cubs manager Joe Maddon in a film about the World Series champs.

The big-time Cubs fan has not confirmed the report but he is well known for his love for the team.

The website reports that Shane Abbess, an Australian film director, is on board for the film titled “Teammate.” The movie will center around the team’s first World Series team since 1908.

It was an amazing coming of age series from Judd Apatow and Paul Feig that helped launch the careers of several high-profile creative talent in Hollywood. It was all pretty cool, and at least so far, we didn’t even go and Ken Bone the whole thing up by elevating Nacho Man, as he will forever be known henceforth, into some modern-day folk hero.

But Cubs starting pitcher and chief lieutenant in the No Fun Police Jon Lester was not amused by the tomfoolery.

“Great effort. But I don’t understand the other stuff,” Lester told the Sun-Times. “A guy fell into him and got nacho cheese on his arm and now he’s taking pictures and signing autographs. It shows you where our society’s at right now with all that stuff.”

Yes, the culture has dutifully given Gudermuth his 15 minutes, but have we really memed him, ironically or not, to the point of grotesque, ouroboros-like megastardom? That, or maybe Jon Lester is kinda cranky. Cheer up, dude, your magic number is one!
