It seems as though in Austria they think Joe Dirt = Kurt Cobain??
Thanks to modern technology aka the internet we have proof that the two are not one in the same.

After two and a half years of rumors surrounding a possible name change of Chicago’s John Hancock Center, a new report suggests that the likelihood of such a change is more real than ever. According to theChicago Tribune, The Hearn Company, the owner of the iconic 100-story supertall skyscraper, is marketing the hulking mid-century tower’s office space and its naming rights for sale. According to Tribune reporter Ryan Ori, the deal could earn Hearn Co. $330 million.
It’s been known as The Hancock Building for 48 years. I think there should be a grandfather clause. Sears Tower was renamed after 36 years and we all still call it SEARS TOWER!! The 101WKQX radio tower is on top of the Hancock. So much history. It seems wrong that it all comes down to someone buying the naming rights to a building. Maybe we could all pitch in and just name it The Oprah Tower or Tower of Jordan. At least if it’s got to be renamed it could be renamed something that won’t change again when the next naming owner’s contract is up.
Pearl Jam’s opinionated frontman also weighed in on President Trump’s tough talk concerning North Korea, and that nation’s nuclear capabilities.
He told the audience he’d read that a nuclear missile fired from North Korea could reach his home in Seattle in 30 minutes, and he’d thought of his wife and his two daughters.
“What would you do? You’d scream at the sky and go, ‘What the (expletive)? How could this (expletive) happen?’ But at that point, that’s not gonna do any good whatsoever. And if I’m not gonna be on a stage for a while, I’m gonna say it tonight, here in Nashville. What the (expletive)? Are you kidding us? Can you please stop? Just stop.” (MORE HERE)
During last night’s Cubs game — deep in the heart of St. Louis, a most hated rival — Addison Russell dove into the stands to try and catch a foul ball. What he ended up catching was a tray of cheesy nachos. But the story didn’t end there — Russell came back a little while later with a peace offering. Check out the video (thanks to YouTube/Chris Goossens):
Hence, “Nacho Man” was born. But do you detect a little shade thrown Chicago’s way in his “thank you” tweet? Plain?!? — [eric]

“It’s kind of a jerk thing to do, I think, to give someone over-the-counter medicine. It was difficult to incorporate into a cocktail,” says Gary Matthews. The Drumbar bartender is referring to Sarah Syman of Otto Mezzo, who challenged him to create a cocktail with Tums—the antacids traditionally used to relieve heartburn. (MORE HERE)

Artificial Intelligence is all the rage in tech right now with car companies in a race to get autonomous vehicles on the road, which is still pretty scary to many people looking into the future. Before we have to worry about a driver-less semi truck cutting us on the Stevenson, we can play with this new AI engineered software that let’s you upload a jpeg image of a face and you get a free 3D. YEAH, IT’S FUN! Try it out here.
Yes, i am aware there is other things like this but I have not seen one that is so interactive in just a few clicks.

Green Day’s Billie Joe Armstrong warmed up for today’s Global Citizen Festival in New York with a solo acoustic of the ballad ‘Ordinary World’ on Friday’s episode of ‘Tonight Show’. The song which was originally recorded for Armstrong’s independent movie of the same name but was re purposed to close out the band’s ‘Revolution Radio’ album. “After all of the chaos that’s on the album, whether it’s pop culture or whatever new apps we’re using, everything gets so complicated. At some point you want something simple. That’s sort of what ‘Ordinary World’ is about,” said Armstrong in an interview with Rolling Stone.
We asked a lot of questions of Green Day and we got answers…some of them gave us more information than we were expecting in our exclusive ‘press conference’ with Billie, Mike Dirnt, and Tre Cool before their massive show at Wrigley Field in August. Watch it here for stories about a stripped joining the band on stage and all the weird things Tre will eat.
Appearing on ‘CONAN’ this week, actor Luke Wilson made a pretty hilarious observation on the Millennial generation and their lounging habits at an airport. “They’re just sprawled out to where it looks like a Civil War battlefield,” the star of ‘Old School’ said. Conan O’Brien seemd to agree referring to Millennials when their comfortable as “gelatinous” but whole segment goes over the top when Wilson lays on his back and pantomimes a text with an invisible phone. He also quipped about their unique ability to find an outlet to charge a phone in almost any situation.
Meanwhile Conan continued to break new ground with another international special this week from Israel, where joked in the streets of Tel Aviv and of course sang with an Elvis impersonator on a beach to middle aged men in speedos.

Last year, the former Smashing Pumpkins guitarist James Iha rejoined his old band onstage in Los Angeles. It was his first time playing with Pumpkins frontman Billy Corgan in 16 years, and since the two didn’t exactly have the best split, it was a nice surprise. It also led to all sorts of speculation that we’d be getting a classic-lineup Smashing Pumpkins reunion. While that hasn’t yet happened, Iha and Corgan are, it turns out, working together. Corgan says that Iha plays guitar on two of his new songs. It’s their first time recording together since the Smashing Pumpkins’ 2000 album Machina II/The Friends & Enemies of Modern Music.
