Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington Tribute show will be live-streamed

Linkin Park’s Chester Bennington Tribute show will be live-streamed on October 27th from the Hollywood Bowl on Friday October 27th on Youtube. Proceeds from the show will go to the One More Light Fund, a charity set up by band in Bennington’s honor to help out the victims of natural disasterS. After the 2004 Tsunami in the Pacific Ocean, Bennington and Linkin Park put on several charity ventures help out those affected so the issue is close to the LP family. The circumstances of this tribute show will be sad and emotional but the rock community is coming out in droves with members of Blnk-182, System of a Down, No Doubt, Yellowcard, Machine Gun Kelly. and Korn all set to perform with Linkin Park in what is sure to be a special event for fans to remember the late great singer.

Chester Bennington passed away in July in what is believed to be a suicide just weeks before Linkin Park was set to start a new world tour. A few days after Chester’s tragic death Linkin Park was set to perform in the 101WKQX Lounge on that day, Lauren hosted a special tribute to Bennington which features fann calling in sharing their feelings and a special discussion with Dr. Drew to discussion the mental health issues that lead to suicide and how to help prevent them. As a Cubs fan I was just glad to see them win one World Series in my lifetime. Was great watching them in the playoffs this year too. Fall Out Boy confirm they’ve finished new album

Fall Out Boy have confirmed that they’ve finished recording their new album, which was recently delayed by four months. They have also teased their next single.

The band were originally meant to release their seventh album ‘M A N I A’ in September, but now it is slated for a January 2018 release. (MORE HERE)

Grouplove came into the LOUNGE yesterday, and delivered dreams as always hours before they rocked the United Center opening for Imagine Dragons. The day was also eventful for the band who released their newest music video for ‘Remember the Night’. The video is a visual stunner featuring Hannah Hooper parading through emotional struggles over a relationship with glitter hand dances and interpretative dance. It’s like a musical theater kid’s dream!The song comes off the August re-release of last year’s ‘Big Mess’.

Today on 101WKQX, Walt spun this new track ‘Happy Hour’ from Weezer in his Walt’s Vault special spot.

It comes from the upcoming album ‘Pacific Daydream’ (October 27th) and it’s just the perfect song to crack open a beer to on a sunny day. The song feels like a more relaxed brother to their recent song of the summer season, ‘Feels like Summer’ which came out a few months back. Fall Out Boy finish recording delayed new album ‘M A N I A’

Speaking to Cleveland.com, Pete Wentz of Fall Out Boy says the band has finished recording their delayed album ‘ M A N I A’ which was originally scheduled for release in September, and is now due out in January. “We’re done recording, officially! Which is pretty awesome. We’re just in the mixing stages now. Now, we’re just mixing and mastering the songs, which is really exciting. This didn’t seem like a place we could get to six months ago. It’s really cool to be here. We finished recording, maybe last week.”: says Wentz.

When asked for memories of the recording of the band’s memories of the prolonged recording process, Wentz compared his working relationship with singer/guitarist Patrick Stump to a classic cartoon. “There was a period when I was driving (lead singer) Patrick (Stump) to the studio. It felt a little bit like “The Flintstones,” picking up Barney Rubble on the way to break some rocks. That’s not that great of a story, but whatever. ”

FOB has recently brewed up the hype pot for the new album with a sold out House of Blues show in Chicago last month and the limited release fidget spinner that doubles as a blue tooth speaker. Check that out here.

Conan O’Brien appeared on The Late Show With Stephen Colbert on Friday, where he told a funny story about how David Letterman once sent him a horse. Unprepared for a horse in his life (especially the ornery one Letterman had selected), O’Brien confided to Colbert that the gift (in recompense for a glowing profile Conan wrote of Letterman upon Dave’s retirement from that same Late Show in 2015) has been something of a burden, frankly. Well, emerging from wherever he’s been cultivating his gloriously Skinny Santa beard for a rare talk show appearance with Jimmy Kimmel on Tuesday, Dave spun a very Letterman-like response to Conan’s televised griping, explaining that the horse was just a goof, intended to “take a dump” on Conan’s stage and then be returned to the ornery horse farm he’d come from. National Pasta Day + Taco Tuesday

Taco Tuesday is a religion in my house, but today is also National Pasta Day… how do we solve this conundrum? Thanks to all your text messages, the solution is simple…

SPAGHETTI TACOS!!!

How to Make the Famous Spaghetti Taco

1 lb turkey meat
1 packet taco seasoning
3 cup marinara sauce
½ lb spaghetti (½ box, broken in half)
6 Tbsp salsa
10 Taco shells
Cilantro for garnish

DIRECTIONS

Cook Pasta & Sauce:
In a skillet over medium-high, brown 1 lb ground turkey until done. Add taco seasoning; cook according to package instructions. Add 3 cups marinara sauce. Simmer until very hot. Cook ½ lb spaghetti. 3 minutes before spaghetti is done, add taco shells to oven.
Assemble Tacos:
When spaghetti is done, drain and return to pot. Stir in meat sauce and 6 Tbsp salsa. Remove taco shells from oven and fill with spaghetti mixture. Garnish with some fresh chopped cilantro.
