The Flaming Lips at The Salt Shed (Friday): The “deliciously weird” Flaming Lips are back in Chicago for the first time in a year, as they tackle the brand new Salt Shed for a sold-out show.
Meat Wave at Sleeping Village (Friday): Chicago punks Meat Wave are back this weekend with a sold-out show at Sleeping Village. If you have tickets to this jam-packed event, get there early and check out Kal Marks, who put out a terrific record in 2022.

Lucky Boys Confusion at Metro (Saturday): If you didn’t get your fill of Chicago bands on Friday with Meat Wave, you can head to the Metro on Saturday for Lucky Boys Confusion. Limited tickets remain for the band’s first show at the Metro since 2018.
A Peace of Pilsen Cinco de Mayo Bar Crawl and Community Celebration (Saturday): Trolleys will be running all day on Saturday to transport crawlers between bars like La Mejikana, Twisted Cantina and Simone’s, where cocktails and live music await for what should be an epic Cinco de Mayo celebration. The Batman in Concert at The Auditorium Theater (Saturday): DC in Concert, a brand new global-tour, is debuting in Chicago this weekend with The Batman.
