New Music Alert! Gorillaz ‘Hollywood’ feat. Snoop Dogg & Jamie Principle

Gorillaz dropped a new trippy banging track called ‘Hollywood’ featuring Jamie Principle and Snoop Dogg from their upcoming new album ‘The Now Now’ which comes out June 29th. Based on lyrics, the song positions the idea of pursuing lofty showbiz dreams out west as if it was a woman the vocalists are deeply attracted to, but also know she may not be the best for them.

Here is another new track featuring Jack Black in the music video, it’s called ‘Humility’. Below we also have all the other musical delights shared from Darron Albarn and company from the forthcoming album.

MTV is reviving Daria and other past shows

Ok, 90’s kids calm down because our sick sad world does not deserve this. Daria is coming back. The reboot news was confirmed by Pitchfork and several other outlets, with MTV also bringing back other classic non-music programming for the cable network also reviving ‘the Real World’ and a new animated return of the influential ‘Aeon Flux.’ Deadline is reporting that these rebooted shows could be pitched to several streaming platforms like Netflix or Hulu.

Yes, revivals are all the rage.

Last year, EW did this great piece with artists from ‘Daria’ to show what the characters from the irreverent teen comedy would look like now with the show’s co-creator and illustrator.

The Jerry Springer Show is going off the air after 27 seasons and 4000 episodes (17 years of its production were spent here in Chicago). We’ll miss talking to the hand.

We’ll also miss bottom-of-the-barrel-scraping topics like:

  • My Girlfriend is a Man
  • You Slept with My Stripper Sister
  • Adult Babies
  • I Slept with 251 Men in 10 Hours!
  • Cat Fightin’ Cuties

The decision to stop producing Springer’s show was made quietly. The show will reportedly run reruns for the remainder of the 2018-2019 season.

Taylor Hawkins makes it rain meteors

A literal sign from the heavens that Taylor Hawkins is a rad drummer. During his drum solo, a meteor was seen falling overhead at a Foo Fighters show in the Netherlands. The timing was perfect. Right as Hawkins momentarily paused at the end of a fill, the meteor’s vapor trail faded into the night sky and the rest of the band came back onto the stage as if it were planned. Maybe it was…
