At least 2 LGBTQ heroes coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe

When asked by entertainment site The Playlist when we’ll finally see LGBTQ characters in Marvel movies, Feige said they’re coming. In fact, we’ve already met at least one; Feige says the characters are “both ones you’ve seen and ones you haven’t seen.”

“Believer,” about Dan Reynolds’ push for LGBTQ acceptance, debuting Monday.

I was doing a lot of road tripping this week.

During my travels, I heard a great discussion with Dan Reynolds of Imagine Dragons.

I learned in his younger days, Reynolds witnessed some of his fellow Mormons struggling with their sexuality — and had some regrets about not being more of an ally then.  Still involved with the church, he is advocating for acceptance of the LGBTQ community.  He seemed to feel a bit irregular that he — as a heterosexual, white male — was the one making this push.  But the show host brushed that notion off, saying that it is of vital importance for straight supporters to take up the fight for inclusion, too.  As an straight ally of the LGBTQ community, I agree.

Tomorrow (6/25), a documentary capturing a bit of that push is debuting on HBO — called Believer.  Here is the trailer.  — [eric]

Watch this in-depth documentary from Bright Sun Films looking into the company’s rise and fall. It highlights how the stores became obsolete with bad business moves and changing times.

BSF takes on a touching take showing the stores that have closed and what they look like now.

Also what about this emotional cover of that Toys ‘R Us jingle? Yeah, that’s hair-raising on your arms.

Watch Foo Fighters rock Late Late Show in London, What Pop singer saved Dave Grohl?

The Foo Fighters helped close out the week long London residency of ‘the Late Late Show with James Corden’ last night with ‘Best Of You’. The performance which had a wild light show element, saw the band crush it in the Central Hall Westminster.

This same episode saw Corden pull out his signature segment ‘Carpool Karaoke’ with the iconic Paul McCartney.

Dave Grohl aslo took the chat couch with Corden to share how he was influenced by the Beatles. Grohl tells this ridiculous story of being at a party way too late when he was not ready to perform a private show, of course he was prompted to play a song with McCartney, only to be saved by pop music princess who performed one a Foo Fighter tune.

New Music Alert! Gorillaz ‘Hollywood’ feat. Snoop Dogg & Jamie Principle

Gorillaz dropped a new trippy banging track called ‘Hollywood’ featuring Jamie Principle and Snoop Dogg from their upcoming new album ‘The Now Now’ which comes out June 29th. Based on lyrics, the song positions the idea of pursuing lofty showbiz dreams out west as if it was a woman the vocalists are deeply attracted to, but also know she may not be the best for them.

Here is another new track featuring Jack Black in the music video, it’s called ‘Humility’. Below we also have all the other musical delights shared from Darron Albarn and company from the forthcoming album.

MTV is reviving Daria and other past shows

Ok, 90’s kids calm down because our sick sad world does not deserve this. Daria is coming back. The reboot news was confirmed by Pitchfork and several other outlets, with MTV also bringing back other classic non-music programming for the cable network also reviving ‘the Real World’ and a new animated return of the influential ‘Aeon Flux.’ Deadline is reporting that these rebooted shows could be pitched to several streaming platforms like Netflix or Hulu.

Yes, revivals are all the rage.

Last year, EW did this great piece with artists from ‘Daria’ to show what the characters from the irreverent teen comedy would look like now with the show’s co-creator and illustrator.
