Patrick Stewart returning to Star Trek
Variety is reporting today that acclaimed actor Sir Patrick Stewart will return to the role that first brought him inter-galactic fame: Captain. Jean-Luc Picard!
Stewart is set to play Picard once more in a CBS All Access series which has most of it details hidden at the moment, but the word is that the series will follow what happened in ‘Star Trek: Next Generation’.
“I will always be very proud to have been a part of ‘Star Trek: The Next Generation,’ but when we wrapped that final movie in the spring of 2002, I truly felt my time with ‘Star Trek’ had run its natural course,” Stewart said in the article that announced the nerd-joy news. “It is, therefore, an unexpected but delightful surprise to find myself excited and invigorated to be returning to Jean-Luc Picard and to explore new dimensions within him. Seeking out new life for him, when I thought that life was over.”

Stewart rose as a TV star ‘ST: Next Gen’ from the theater stages of England where he mastered the art of the Bard, and after that he captained the X-Men film series as the telepathic Professor X. In this interview series from LMU, the knighted actor lays out how he got the role that would take him to the stars and beyond.
Now they will just have to pull him away from his bee farm.

WWE star becomes Mayor of Knox County, Tennessee
“The Big Red Monster” has become the “Big Red Mayor.” Glenn Jacobs, the man known as “Kane” to wrestling fans, defeated opponent Linda Haney with almost twice as many votes.
His political bio will likely have more mass-appeal nuance than his WWE bio:
