She’s the most formidable force in WWE’s Womens Revolution, storming into Allstate Arena for Monday Night RAW on October 8th and the historic first-all women’s special event, Evolution on the WWE Network on October 28th, Nia Jax shares it all today with Kevin in this exclusive interview. This is a must-listen for any WWE fan as Jax shares what the feeling was like when she found out about Evolution, her feelings on a potential Women’s Tag Team Championship, and what it’s like to be ‘not like most girls’. Police in Rochester, New Hampshire posted some surveillance photos of a trespassing suspect they were looking for, and he looked kind of like EMINEM. So of course, the Internet went crazy!
People started commenting with Eminem lyrics, saying things like, “He’s probably just going round the outside, round the outside” . . . and, “Will the real Slim Shady please fess up.” HAHA! AMAZING!
Police later updated the post, saying, quote, “The subject has been identified, and we can confirm it is NOT Marshall Mathers.” … AMAZING again!

From their press release: Mumford & Sons will embark on an extensive 60-date worldwide arena tour this fall featuring a groundbreaking new in-the-round stage design. In Chicago they’ll perform at the United Center on Friday, March 29, 2019. Show time is 7:30pm. Tickets (reserved seats $104.50 / $84.50 / $64.50 / $44.50 plus general admission main floor tickets $104.50) become available on Friday, October 12 at 10:00am and can be purchased online only at Ticketmaster.com. There will be a strictly-enforced 4-ticket limit.
The tour celebrates the multi-Platinum, Grammy Award-winning band’s forthcoming album, Delta. Available now for pre-sale, the band’s fourth release hits shelves November 16 on Gentlemen of the Road/Glassnote Records. Delta was written collectively by the band, produced by Paul Epworth and recorded at London’s The Church Studios. Listen to the album’s first single, “Guiding Light,” HERE.
Already receiving widespread acclaim, the band recently debuted “Guiding Light” on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon” with special guests The Roots. Watch the performance HERE. Marcus Mumford also joined host Jimmy Fallon as a guest on the couch. Watch the interview HERE. Additionally, Rolling Stone calls the single, “wildly experimental…Delta has the band incorporating elements of electronica, rap, jazz and other sonic territory rarely visited,” while Paste asserts, “If it’s any indication of how Delta will sound as a whole, this could shape up to be the band’s most experimental album yet.”
Marking ten years since Mumford & Sons made their meteoric debut, the new music follows 2015’s Wilder Mind, which debuted at No. 1 in the U.S., U.K., Australia Canada, Ireland, the Netherlands and Norway and, most recently, 2016’s collaborative Johannesburg mini album. Previous LPs include 2012’s Babel, which was awarded the 2013 Grammy for Album of the Year, and their 2009 debut, Sigh No More.
Mumford & Sons are Ben Lovett, Marcus Mumford, Ted Dwane and Winston Marshall.
Sony’s first push into a connected super-hero universe, Venom, hits theaters Friday.
The popular Spider-Man villain gets his own full-length solo turn, with Tom Hardy in the titular role. But is it any good? If you listen to critics, you may want to stick with the comic book source material.
As of 10/4/18, Rotten Tomatoes’ Tomotometer has the flick sitting at a brutal 30% rating. Here’s what some of the site’s Top Critics had to say:
“Mostly derivative and generically plotted” (Owen Glieberman, Variety)
“The latest movie off the Marvel assembly line is a disaster on every level, from the hatchet-job writing to the horrid performances.” (Johnny Oleskinsi, New York Post)
“It’s noncommittally mediocre and, as a result, forgettable. It just sort of sits there, beating you numb” (Chris Nashawaty, EW)
“The action? It’s repetitive enough to bore you breathless. And the special effects are strictly bottom shelf.” (Peter Travers, Rolling Stone)
“Leaping from plot point to plot point without the hindrance of logic or characters” (Alonso Duralde, The Wrap)
“Directed with flat, joyless competence” (Justin Chang, Los Angeles Times)
All good things… or at least all things… come to an end. This is officially the swan song month for that most venerable of post-Cubs, drunk-food institutions: The Taco Bell on Addison.
According to the Trib, demolition starts on November 1, as boxed Chalupas make way for a three-story retail space that will include a gym and climbing facility.
Get ready to slay. All fans of the cult hit TV show ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ will be able to sip on drinks as Replay (Lincoln Park, 2833 N. Sheffield Ave) is transformed into a pop-up theme space with the Sunnydale High’s library, a cemetery and The Bronze nightclub. If you are fan of the show, this looks like a must and Replay has a history with delivering fun pop-up themes with previous celebrations of pop culture gems like the Simpsons and others.
The pop-up starts on October 12th in the bar which already has an abundance of arcade games to enjoy. Several Buffy themed events are also planned with several drinks on the menu inspired by characters from the show.
If you never ‘got’ the show or why it developed such a dedicated audience it was able to move two different networks and live on in a comic book.
According to a new survey, when you throw a party, you have 20 minutes or less to impress someone or they’re going to leave. We’re all so lucky to have such good friends. LOL
So if you want to throw a good party that actually makes people want to STAY, here’s what you need to do. The survey found the eight key elements of throwing a good party . . . are they missing any?
1. Offer someone a drink in under eight minutes.
2. Talk to your guests within eight minutes of them getting there.
3. Offer someone a snack in less than 10 minutes.
4. Offer a drink refill within 20 minutes.
5. Don’t talk about politics or money.
6. Talk about TV shows, movies, or food.
7. Don’t ask people to take their shoes off.
8. And make sure the party will look good in Instagram photos.

I have never seen someone so comfortable man handling poop. You know what they say if you love your job you won’t work a day in your life!

It’s 2018 and no longer do you need to hear “Mary Had a Little Lamb” over and over and over again while you try to put your tiny ones to bed. Thanks to Sleep Sparrow, you can lull your youngsters to blissful slumber with a lullaby version of “Bored To Death” by Blink 182! In fact, they’ve created lullaby versions of the whole California album, called Cali-Snore-nia!
Not a Blink fan, well… they also have lullaby versions of songs from Alkaline Trio, Sum 41, Thrice, Paramore and My Chem! Check out their website HERE.

This weekend at the movies two big movies from two different genres are hitting theaters with built-in fan bases. Pop music queen Lady Gaga will join Bradley Cooper in a modern retelling of ‘A Star is Born’ while Tom Hardy will play a twisted parasitic Marvel Comics creature in ‘Venom’. The AV Club and Buzzfeed reported today this box-office match-up has driven some of Gaga’s ‘little monster’ fans to start flooding the web with fake negative reviews of Venom in hopes of tanking it, so that ‘A Star Is Born’ can steal in it’s opening weekend.
Buzzfeed actually had a Gaga fan confirm it was a coordinated effort to launch a troll campaign. “It’s us Gaga fans creating fake IDs to trash the Venom premiere,” said @LGMonster95. “They both are getting released on the same day, so we want more audience for A Star Is Born.”
I wasn’t sure i’d watch #Venom on opening weekend but now i think i just might go see it twice this weekend, with a bunch of friends and family too. This is pathetic as hell. https://t.co/AE0NAs3Pl7

Beware of fake #Venom movie reviews. There are people trying to promote Lady Gaga's #AStarIsBorn and are fabricating negative reviews. Look out for bots and only trust proper and regular reviewers. pic.twitter.com/v9xznuN5R7

Well this just feels like people on the internet being dumb and over-zealous.
The Red Hot Chili Peppers performed as part of the Silverlake Conservatory of Music gala in Los Angeles on Saturday. The event was held in honor of Mo Ostin, a recording industry executive and Rock & Roll Hall of Fame inductee who’s worked with the likes of Frank Sinatra, the Beach Boys, and the Chili Peppers.
Check em out covering Hendrix!
Red Hot Chili Peppers are scheduled to hit the studio any day now to begin work on their new album, the follow-up to 2016’s The Getaway.
The classic Oasis album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory? was released 23 years ago today (October 2, 1995).
The album became the third-best-selling LP in England’s history, topped only by the Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band and Queen’s Greatest Hits, and made Noel and his brother Liam Gallagher paparazzi-level famous. (their bickering and in-fighting would grab most of the subsequent headlines leading to the group’s eventual demise.)
Cheers!
I’m a sucker for a good mashup. The table is taking the mashup concept to a new level. He has some serious autotune skills. -wALT
If you missed the premiere of the 44th season SNL this weekend you missed this!
I wonder if this will turn in to a reacquiring role for Matt just like Trump did for Alec Baldwin?
