It’s Friday, and the Smashing Pumpkins covered the Cure ‘Friday, I’m in Love’ and they are playing a SOLD OUT Nights We Stole Christmas show TONIGHT at the Aragon. This is where the hip teens would say “can’t even” because it’s so much incredible things in one place at one time.
The Pumpkins are set to play Portugal’s NOS Festival in June alongside the Cure, so why not cover your fellow alternative brethren? This cover comes from last night’s show in Madison with James Iha taking over vocals and making us collectively swoon.
Here is the setlist for last night’s SP show, what could we get with tonight TOOOOnight’s big homecoming at the Aragon?

Check our exclusive Lounge session with the Smashing Pumpkins from August.
Night 1 of the Nights We Stole Christmas is in the history books… and it was amazing.
Here are just a few Insta pics from last night’s show. If you’re going on any of the remaining 4 nights, be sure to tag your pics with #TNWSC so we can see them!
Why are fun things illegal?
There’s a 70-year-old guy named Robert Davis from Key Largo, Florida.
And he installed remote-controlled black SHIELDS that he could roll down over the license plates on his minivan . . . so he wouldn’t have to pay tolls when he went past toll cameras. GENIUS!
Robert kept getting away with it until about a week-and-a-half ago, when an off-duty Florida Highway Patrol officer randomly spotted the license plate shields in action at a toll plaza.
Robert was arrested and charged with organized fraud and petit theft.
(And here’s a video someone else shot over the summer showing the shields in action.) I WANT ONE !
Miami driver cleverly avoids SunPass tolls on the Dolphin Expressway because Miami (HINT: watch the license plate closely)

I’m always impressed with all vocal groups and this one is on point! Here’s Six13 to get you ready for Hanukkah which begins on Sunday.
Last year it was all about the Upside Down Christmas tree, Brian got us one for the studio:
If you have always wanted to stand under your Christmas tree, this year’s half option is for you! Standing six feet tall and only having branches on the top half, two different varieties of half parasol Christmas trees are currently being sold on the UK-based online retailer Argos for £33.33 and £37.50. “Keep your perfectly placed baubles, bows and bells out of reach of curious, crawling kids or your cats’ playful paws with this 6ft parasol tree. If Santa’s been extra generous, there’s plenty of room to stack pressies underneath rather than scattering them around it. It’s also a great alternative to the traditional tree if you’re a tad tight for space.”

Might be a good way to keep Kevin from knocking all the ornaments off again this year? Wonder if it would fit in the corner of the studio…

Saturday is National Christmas Lights Day, even though some of us have already gotten the jump (looking at you, across the street neighbors who NEVER TOOK DOWN LAST YEAR’S LIGHTS >:(
I usually don’t put any on the outside of my house (I’m renting) but this list of ideas has got me inspired, including making a tree out of the hoop of the basketball pole, lightning a tomato cage tree, and making Christmas light balls out of the chicken wire among other things…
Top 10 Christmas Light Ideas for 2018
You better believe I am going to be stringing up some divvy bikes this season..

P.S. Let’s also agree to take all the Christmas stuff down at a reasonable time this year, yes? Does March 1 work for everyone?
Otherwise it becomes a fire hazard. Because I will set it on fire.
It is one of the more cherished anime series of all time and now it’s getting a live action adaption on Netflix. There is no time frame for it to air as it’s in the early stages, but screenwriter Christopher Yost who has previously worked on both Marvel films and comics is handling the script for the pilot. The original series director Shinichirō Watanabe will operate as a consulting producer on the project.
Cowboy BeBop which plays up the lives of bounty hunters in space with a smart-ass touch. It made waves in Japan and then getting an English dub for late-night viewers on Cartooon Network’s Adult Swim in the late 90’s. It’s a sci-fi western with a jazzy cinematic theme song and vibe that does not pair it with other anime series.
The trusty geeks at IGN proclaim it’s one of the best animated shows ever made.

You don’t have to be a SpongeBob fan to realize the impact that “Sponge” made to the cartoon community. I mean, to this day I still see everything from SpongeBob coffee mugs to adult underwear.
Nickelodeon just posted this sad news….
💛 We are sad to share the news of the passing of Stephen Hillenburg, the creator of SpongeBob SquarePants. Today, we are observing a moment of silence to honor his life and work. 💛

RIP Stephen Hillenburg … thanks for the laughs.
Billie Joe, Tre Cool and Mike Dirnt have “landed on Mars”…..sorta
The InSight (Interior Exploration using Seismic Investigations, Geodesy and Heat Transport) Lander touched down on the red planet’s atmosphere (November 26) so NASA scientists can better understand how Mars was formed, which in turn could tell them new things about Earth.
