Durty Nellies planning to reopen soon!

It’s been a little over a week since a fire broke out at Durty Nellies in Palatine.  Which was RIGHT AFTER our Courtesy Concert with Sublime With Rome…

I’m not saying someone accidentally left a joint lit, but I’m not saying someone DIDN’T accidentally leave a joint lit…

(just kidding)

The venue/restaurant/pub/bar/hang spot’s goal is to reopen, albeit partially, within the next month.

“Durty Nellie’s has submitted plans to the Village to reopen the bar/pub, band room and mezzanine, and to resume all events and other programming within the next month. The kitchen will not be able to reopen as quickly, since the majority of the damages from the fire occurred there and will take longer to address. Repairs must be made to the south wall (interior and exterior), as well as the refurbishing or replacement of all kitchen equipment.”

According to the American Chemical Society, the sugars found in the plant used to make tequila can help lower your blood sugar.

Basically, this just means you should start switching out your typical drinks and shots for tequila shots.

Not saying you have to switch, but if you’re watching your blood glucose levels this will help.

Stop trying to kiss Brendon Urie

Fans of Panic! At The Disco, please understand that just because Brendon has gone into the crowd that doesn’t mean you can be inappropriate towards him.

This means you should stop trying to kiss him or touch his butt during the ‘death walk’. His road manager Zack Hall even tweeted out how he would kick people out if he saw it happening.

It was confirmed later by Brendon himself how uncomfortable these kisses made him during a Twitch Livestream.

So please, don’t ruin it for everyone stop trying to kiss him.

Today’s WTF News was about a North Carolina man’s home that was raided over allegations that his garage was an unlicensed Stip Club.

It was called “Buster’s Strip Club,” and was filled with various amounts of marijuana, alcohol, and weapons.

But from the outside, does this really look like a ‘strip club’ you’d want to enter?

Above is the main part of the house, (nice hurse), but the garage is where the ‘magic’ happened. (below)

They gave the girls some lockers to put their clothes and personal items. (below) Hopefully, they were allowed to use the washer after a show too.

Then we have the dance floor where the shows went on, below. Homeowner David Lee Yares, Jr. only changed a bit for the electricity.

Would you have gone here for a dance? To be clear, he said people just used the pole to work out but it was all just a cover-up. He was arrested and charged $500.

Yesterday on Twitter Sunny D seemed to tweet out this:

They didn’t seem to post anything else, so other companies started to respond on Twitter to find out what was going on with them.

And Insomnia Cookies, who really seemed to be there for Sunny D by tweeting them back multiple times.

Insomnia Cookies will truly be there for you when you need them, no wonder why they taste so good.

But then there were other responses that weren’t so positive and just made it out to be a joke.

You can check out @sunnydelight on Twitter to see all the responses, they got so many. Mpst of them they retweeted.
But it wasn’t until Moon Pie tweeted out to Sunny D, that we were actually able to get a response back to ‘I can’t do this anymore’.

We still aren’t sure what was going on with Sunny D, but it did shine a light on depression. No matter what you’re going through don’t be afraid to reach out to people. You’ll be surprised who will be there for you. <3

How did they mess up the halftime show? Here’s an answer

Filmed in what appears to be a well-timed rush after last night’s halftime show, Youtube comedian Gus Johnson and friends roasted the people who produced the ill-fated event which featured Maroon 5, Travis Scott, and Big Boi. The short sketch goes through the misguided decisions to not follow up on the massive internet movement leading up to Sunday’s big TV spectacular that was calling for a special tribute to ‘SpongeBob Squarepants’ creator Stepeh Hillenberg and other issues that have caused this year’s Halftime Show to get thoroughly roasted online today.

Bud Light gets an earful after corn syrup commercial

During the Super Bowl on Sunday, Bud Light released a few new commercials.

One showcased a collide with the HBO show Game of Thrones:

Many people loved the cross over between the popular show and beer. But their second commercial made sure to let you know they didn’t use corn syrup in their beer:

Which, I guess, is good to know? The commercial is a bit confusing because it’s hard to understand what they wanted people to take away from it.

Plus they seemed to say Miller Lite and Coors Light multiple times, which got some people to just focus on the competitors.

They weren’t the only one to take a jab at their competitors, Miller Light also took a hit at Bud Light.

But the most interesting reaction came from the National Corn Growers Association, whose mission is to “create and increase opportunities for corn growers.”

Which is understandable if they are supposed to help increase opportunities for corn growers, and the Bud Light commercial shows how they really aren’t helping corn growers.
That one tweet didn’t even show the full extent of how upset they were, as they proceded with one more tweet to call out Bud Light.

Safe to say the NCGA isn’t too happy with Bud Light.
