Missio meet and greet pictures from The Lounge are here!
Coachella is putting the wraps on another festival on Sunday. Here is The Interrupters bringing the punk rock from weekend number one:
Aimee, Kevin, Justin, and Jesse were in The Lounge earlier this month. Watch them strip down “Gave You Everything,” learn what their pre-game ritual is, and hear about the influence Tim Armstrong of Rancid had with the group by watching below. And don’t forget to text LOUNGE to 312101 to hear about all our upcoming performances before everyone else.
Afroman’s “Because I Got High” is the worst and no one should listen to that today. More on soon, but first:
This is clearly not the “be-all & end-all” lists of songs for today’s unofficial holiday (and for more, see links at the conclusion). But I thought I would take a moment to rate and provide commentary on some of the more common 4/20 songs you would find on the playlist of an alternative rock enthusiast. The music is rated on a scale of 1-5…clouds. And find links to the YouTube videos by hovering over the song title. And now, without further delay:
Sublime – “Smoke Two Joints”
Peter Tosh – “Legalize It”
Arctic Monkeys – “Why’d You Only Call Me When You’re High?”
Hinder – “Get Stoned”
Fun Lovin’ Criminals – “Scooby Snacks”
Sir Sly – “High”
The Verve – “The Drugs Don’t Work”
Amy Winehouse – “Addicted”
Cypress Hill – “Hits From The Bong”
Tove Lo – “Habits (Stay High)”
Oasis – “Champagne Supernova”
Queens Of The Stone Age – “Feel Good Hit Of The Summer”
Afroman – “Because I Got High”
Here’s a few more playlists to….spark your interest. And enjoy your day, pot enthusiasts. — [eric]

It went viral and hundreds of people who have decency or respect for the life-giving pizza, have shared it. An image so vile, so hideous, we ask you look at this with discretion for your digestion.
Hey @discordapp, how many RT's to get @MalloryLoar to eat one of her Peepza Monstrosities? pic.twitter.com/1anWouf48Y

PEEPS ON A PIZZA? WHAT DID THAT PIZZA DO YOU TO DESERVE THIS?
Yeah, I guess no one can be nice to the slice. We can credit the folks at Rare for turning us onto this diabolical scheme.
It’s not enough marshmellow madness. Youtube channel WhatTriviaSays feels like humans need to see him make a pizza with Peeps on it.
Sometimes when you pull up Netflix with it’s ever-growing library of on-demand shows and movies, it becomes a hurdle to simply choose what to watch. Yeah, share this article with that person who spends more time deciding what to watch than actually watching something. Well according to the Wrap, you may have a solution coming in the form of a “random episode” button. So basically if you are watching a series, this could randomly play an episode without even having to make the call yourself.
“We are testing the ability for members to play a random episode from different TV series on the Android mobile app. These tests typically vary in length of time and by region, and may not become permanent,” said a Netflix spokesperson in the article.
The feature is currently being tested on the Android mobile version of Netflix on a handful of TV series.
This would be a pretty clever move to give people an option to watch TV with less of the work. Yes, some people think picking a show is ‘work’.
SWMRS meet and greet photos from The Lounge!
Cage the Elephant premiered their new album ‘Social Cues’ last night on 101WKQX an hour before the world got it on streaming apps, but the coolest guys in alternative also hit TV screens nationwide on CBS’s ‘Late Show’ with a performance of ‘Ready to Let Go’. The performance showed extra groovy the song is and also can we talk about singer Matt Schultz’s outfit? A tight leath body suit, gold chains, ten gallon cowboy hat, and his eyes pitch black with contacts?!
Is that something I can explain right now? No.
Does it look cool? Yep, looking forward to the tour.
With 4/20 happening tomorrow, Eater Chicago seized the topical moment by releasing a list of Chicago area restaurants and bars that serve CBD-infused menu options.
The list is strictly north side, which tells us either Eater is missing lots of stuff south of Congress, or that no such options exist in that direction.
Included in the “top 10” is venerable favorite Kuma’s Corner, whose Euphoric CBD cocktails are served in bongs with dry ice “smoke.”
Check the list out here.
The Killers tweeted a white board’s worth of what looks like song titles. We know they’re working on new stuff, so this might be the first hint of what’s to come…

You may know Jason Momoa as Khal Drogo or Aquaman, and what you’ll recognize is both characters have some pretty good beards.
View this post on Instagram
Who’s going to make fun of Aquaman now? 😜😈 #Aquaman #ThatKingSuitTho #WhatsUp
Well, now we have to say goodbye the famous beard…
Granted it’s sad to see the beard go, but he did it to raise awareness that we shouldn’t make a change in the items we use and switch to infinitely recyclable aluminium.
Lil Dicky, real name David Andrew Burd, released his latest track titled ‘Earth’. The song is about, well, the Earth but more importantly about the appeal for humanity to wake up and appreciate it, as well as show Earth some love.
The video, its lyrics, its cameos, everything about it is still true to Lil Dicky’s irreverent style. Riddled with punchy phrasing that cuts to the core of existence, hordes of animals explain their being – no matter how simple.
Featuring more than 30 artists, including Panic! At The Disco’s Brendon Urie, who represented a pig. Along with an animated version of Leonardo DiCaprio.
He told Time how he wanted to use his contacts to get people thinking more about climate change and how to fight against it.
“Right now, I don’t think people care that much. If everyone decided to care just a little bit—if everyone cared enough to not use straws at all—that’s going to have an impact” “Somehow, life has led us to this 12-year-window where it’s on the people who are on earth right now to insist that everything finally gets actually taken seriously. What an opportunity.”
Net profits from the song, music video and merchandise will go to a group of nonprofits implementing solutions to climate change, as identified by DiCaprio’s foundation.

WCIU Channel 26 ‘the U’ has been a stand out Chicago TV listings for decades with a mix of syndicated rerun shows and their own locally produced favorites like Saturday night horror movie icon ‘Svengoolie’ and morning talk show ‘the Jam’. Chicago Sun Times reported today that WCIU will soon become an affiliate of the CW network, effectively changing it’s weeknight prime time programming to shows like DC superhero shows such as ‘the Flash’, ‘Arrow’, and more. This is second time the CW has moved on the dial in Chicago in last five years. In 2016, CWQ moved from WGN to WPWR Channel 50.
According to the Sun Times report, the channel will still broadcast “The Jam,”“The People’s Court” and “Judge Mathis” and syndicated sitcoms including “Seinfeld” and “Mike & Molly.” The new channel will be called the CW 26 and changes will go on the air in the fall.
Weigel Broadcasting who owns and operates WCIU, will move ‘the U’ to WCUU Channel 26.2, where it will air ‘ABC 7 News on the U’ at 7pm CST on weekdays.
Excuse this 90’s kids who needs to remind you of the cartoon afternoon lineup that WCIU rocked back in the day.
Before they played a sold-out show with Muse at the United Center, Walk the Moon once again graced the intimate bunker of audible awesomeoness, the Lounge. They felt the grind through a red eye flight to deliver an engaging fun session. Watch here as they perform fan favorites like ‘Anna’s Sun’ and talk about their long journey to world wide success. All the good times start at 5:20 into the video above.
Here is WTM’s Lounge session from a year ago. Yes, they spoil us so much!
Yoga master, 41-year-old Sam Cohen, claims he has not had a cold in almost twenty years, because every time he goes to the toilet he snorts a cup of his own wee.
Since he’s done this he claims it works wonders for his illnesses, and even has had a positive effect on his sex life.
“Before I was often drained and drowsy. I was 22 and once I started to drink urine I started to get younger again.
The urine is just like an overall boost. It will make you feel younger and make you have more hardness. It does actually make you last longer.”
You can check out him explaining more on it, but be warned… you do see some wee snorting.
Sam also takes other liquids in through his nose like water, wine, vegetable and fruit juices.
I’m pretty sure liquids normally are supposed to go in through the mouth, not the nose, but whatever floats his boat.
In Florida, 65-year-old Clarese Gainey heard a noise outside her apartment and before calling the police she took matters into her own hands.
“I grab my bat, I brace myself, and I ease the door open,” Gainey said.
That’s when police and Gainey say 5’6, 300 pound Antonio Mosely charged her.
“I took that bat and hit him upside the head like ‘pi-yah!'”
She spoke on how she could easily identify him on his appearance, and the injury she left on his head.
Our favourite part is her describing the hit.
‘Pi-yah!’
The Schedule is out for the 2019 Chicago Bears. They’ll kick off the NFL’s 100 season with a big game against the Green Bay Packers at Soldier Field on Sept. 5.
Other highlights include a match up against the Oakland Raiders in London for week 5 (good thing it’s followed by the bye week), they get the Thanksgiving game in Detroit and will end the season with away games with Green Bay and Minnesota.
