When J.B. Pritkzer was elected as Governor in 2018, there was lots of speculation as to how long it would take to pass the marijuana legalization legislation he talked about in his campaign. Illinois already has legalized marijuana for medical use, but recreational use has a lot more road blocks.
According to WTTW, those hold ups included \”how to decide who is eligible for a license to grow and sell cannabis; whether individuals will be permitted to grow marijuana at home; whether there’s anywhere individuals should be allowed to use, smoke or otherwise take cannabis outside the home; how to handle expunging the criminal records for offenders found guilty of possessing or selling marijuana prior to legalization; and even how to deal with “what ifs” surrounding workers’ compensation and employers’ liability for employees found to have THC in their systems, and how law enforcement should handle impaired drivers considering there’s no cannabis test equivalent to an alcohol breathalyzer.\” Whew.
The good news? \”Sen. Heather Steans says she and Rep. Kelly Cassidy (both are Democrats from Chicago) expect to introduce draft language by the end of April – enough time, Steans said, for legislators to digest and vet it, with a vote expected before the legislative session adjourns at the end of May.\”
So…can we fast-forward to June?

It’s set to (hulk) smash box office records as the biggest movie of the year. The epic culmination of 22 Marvel movie releases in one big blowout battle for it all with the Avengers assembling the massive success of ‘Avengers: Infinity War’. So following the west coast premiere of the movie yesterday, non-spoiler reactions hit the web and we’ve pulled together the best. Collider Video also breaks down the hottest take on this highly anticipated film.
No words.
Unbelievable. The greatest wrap up to these 10 years of Marvel movies one could hope for…
Laughed (a lot), cried (that’s nuts) and cheered. Opening weekend will be the movie theater experience of a lifetime.

All I’m going to say about @Avengers #EndGame is that I am an emotional wreck and can’t stop crying

The scope of Avengers: Endgame is impossible to put into words. What Fiege & MCU achieved over last 10-years has lead to this gloriously masterful moment in cinema & it’s truly mind-blowing how beautifully paced this storytelling is. Perfectly balanced. As all things should be.

Just watched Avengers: Endgame. I don’t believe hyperbole is possible for this movie. It is the ultimate Marvel movie in every way possible and words cannot describe how epic it is. And yes, Hawkeye is a rockstar.

Wow. #AvengersEndgame is staggering. It’s surprising in ways I never saw coming and satisfying in ways I didn’t realize I needed. It’s kind of the ultimate gift to fans of the MCU. It’s very long and has a few hiccups, but is everything you’re hoping for and more. pic.twitter.com/RO97kw9fs5

As Gameboy celebrates it’s 30th Aniversary, Bryan, Ali, Justin, and Producer Kimmy officially settle the long-debated question: “What is the best video game of all time?”
If you competed in the video game power ranking, what four games would be on your list?
Seattle’s Pike Place Market costumers had a surprise over the weekend, with Dave Grohl and Brandi Carlie showing up for a surprise performance.
They covered tracks from the Beatles and Foo Fighters during their unexpected set, like “Let It Be” and “Times Like These”, which was broadcasted on Brandi’s Facebook live.
The duo’s set lasted between 15-20 minutes and was joined by Carlile’s bandmates Phil and Tim Hanseroff.
This is why you should always get out around town, you never know what could happen!

Well, you got hacked? Seems like that is going around, right? It might have not happened if those internet scumbags couldn’t figure out your password to your private info and accounts. Well CNN has revealed that one of our beloved alternative bands, Blink-182 is one of the most hacked passwords.
If your password is one of these words or phrases, it's time to change it:
• blink182
• liverpool
• superman
• manutd
• ashley
• michael

If you’re planning a vacation you’ll be noticing how expensive things can get. You have hotels and flights, not to mention food, how do you expect to afford it all?
Well now you don’t have to, just pay to fake it!
All you have to do is use Fake A Vacation, a site that will allow you to purchase a photo of yourself at a vacation destination.
Let’s be honest, the perfect photo for social media is all you need to show off your “sweet trip.”
Here’s how it works:
They have a few different places you could ‘go’ to.
Currently their highest package is a custom pack for $200, but still, you’d be spending more on travel to physically go somewhere!
All respect and love to the men and women who report the news! <3
But everyone has those days where their head and mouth don’t meet and something you didn’t mean to say comes out. Or maybe you don’t realize what you said sounds kinda dirty, we all have our head in the gutters some days.
Here’s more on the montage we’ve been playing on the KQX Morning Crew:
Not sure you’ll find ANYONE here in Chicago that would say they like potholes.
But in a rare turn of events, a Nebraska man was saved when his ambulance hit a pothole, returning his dangerously paced heartbeat returned to normal!
The 59-year-old man’s heartbeat went as high as 200 beats per minute at one point.
A rare story where we aren’t hating on the annoying potholes.
Tickets for the 50th anniversary of Woodstock were supposed to go live Monday. That’s not happening now — but might not be the beginning of the end, as some feared this weekend.
In response to rumors that popped up that the entire thing would be cancelled, founder Michael Lang told Billboard that they were just “rumors.” It may very well be that a problem in getting a permit may have prompted the brakes to be applied to ticketing.
At any rate, the show is still on for August — featuring bands like The Killers, Imagine Dragons, Cage The Elephant, The Raconteurs, Portugal. The Man, and more. But the ability to purchase a ticket will clearly ease the fears of fans hoping to make the trek. — [eric]
