Navy Pier’s adding a massive rooftop lounge:
Navy Pier is still a bit of a tough sell for locals, but did they say 60-foot bar?
Mondelez — who makes Oreo, Cadbury, Chips Ahoy, Nutter Butter and Ritz — has revealed its plan to launch a snack infused with CBD.
CEO Dirk Van de Put told CNBC on Wednesday, “Yes, we’re getting ready, but we obviously want to stay within what is legal and play it the right way,”
But CBD might not be added into Oreos because it’s not fit for their company’s family branding. Doesn’t mean they haven’t thought about adding into other products or even creating a new product line!
We’ll have to wait and see.
My niece has her bird trained to attack anyone she screams at 😂😂😂 pic.twitter.com/ea0JoWMNrT

In a sign of how children can truly be influential, this very short twitter video has gone viral showing a little girl who has trained her pet bird to attack people when she screams. It has been viewed over 23 million times this week! Yes, this is a piece of internet awesomeness but this little beast master must be stopped. Imagine what she can when she hangs out at a zoo?
Oh you did not catch that Beastmaster reference. Well, look here.
It dropped today on streaming apps, and it’s getting a lot of praise from longtime fans. On this page you can stream 8 tracks from, the new album from Vampire Weekend called ‘Father of the Bride’. It features the lead off single ‘Harmony Hall’. The songs have the band’s vivid mix of introspective lyrics, twangy guitars, and head-bobbing beats. VW teased this new album last summer at Lollapalooza and it was well worth it.
In January, band leader Ezra Koenig chatted with 101WKQX’s Brian Phillips about the new album’s process, how the album’s first tracks were actually teased from his phones at a Lolla after show, and they get into the proper use of the Oxford commas.
Watch Keanu Reeves teased as a Canadian Evil Knievel spoof for the upcoming film. The character called Duke Kaboom will appear in the much-anticipated animated feature from Disney’s Pixar. It looks to be a satirical send up to the popular Evil Knievel stunt bike toys of the 70’s just with less red, white, and blue American vibes and more Canadian weirdness.
Toy Story 4 hits theaters on June 21st. Watch the full trailer here.
30 Seconds To Mars front man Jared Leto has had a hugely successful film career, and one of his more talked-about performances was in ‘Suicide Squad’ playing the crown prince of crime, the Joker. With the upcoming origin story based film on the character featuring Joaquin Phoenix in the psychotic role, many thought Leto’s time in the makeup was done. Well, actually Leto says there is still a possibility of him playing the DC comics villain again.
“I would definitely play the Joker again,” Leto says in an interview this week with Variety. “It all depends on the script and the circumstances as it always does.”
Though ‘Suicide Squad’ had some box office success, it got mixed reviews. Warner Bros is planning a sequel for the rag tag squad but the Joker character is not expected to appear.
There was quite a bit of development on whether or not Leto would get his own movie playing his demented take on the Joker, but plans for that fell through.

The rain has been incessant the last couple of days, prompting flooding, flash flood warnings and the like but witnessing the effects of it up close and personal is something else.
This video is crazy from WGN; showing when the concrete on Jefferson Street cracked between Monroe and Adams:
If you are the person in the video or know who it is, I would like to buy you a Q Street beer, that was some incredibly quick reacting.
P.S. Put a hold on showers and laundry, Friends of the Chicago River dubbed today an “Overflow Action Day,” and is calling on locals to reduce the time they spend in the shower, turn off faucets and flush less, among other things, for the time being. More from Block Club Chicago HERE.
If it’s yellow let it mellow people. <3 Lauren

A new study looking into the freshwater marine life in the U.K. has made a shocking discovery of cocaine and illegal pesticides inside the shrimp.
The studies lead author, Dr Thomas Miller made statements on the research:
“Although concentrations were low, we were able to identify compounds that might be of concern to the environment and crucially, which might pose a risk to wildlife.”
The other compounds/drugs include cocaine, ketamine and a banned pesticide, fenuron.
Which was confirmed by Dr Miller:
“As part of our ongoing work, we found that the most frequently detected compounds were illicit drugs, including cocaine and ketamine and a banned pesticide, fenuron. Although for many of these, the potential for any effect is likely to be low.”
You can read more about the research at ScienceDirect.
Okay, this might suck, but it at least looks like fun. Behold: The trailer for “Crawl,” an alligator horror movie coming to theaters on 7/12/19.

You know the famous ‘Happy Meals’ that McDonald’s has, but let’s face it, not every day is a happy day.
So, Burger King has come up with a more realistic line of meal boxes to honor the full range of human emotions.
They’re called “Real Meals” and they come in five different varieties:
While it might seem like a jab at McDonald’s it’s actually a way to raise awareness to mental health. Burger King has partnered with the non-profit organization Mental Health America to raise this awareness, especially during the month of May because it’s Mental Health Awareness Month.
Real Meals contain some type of Whopper-with-fries combo and are not targeted towards young kids, so they do not come with a toy.
Unfortunately, this will only be available at select locations in Seattle, Miami, Los Angeles, New York City and Austin, Texas.
