New app let’s you fake Facetime calls with famous people

An app now exists where you can fake a Facetime call with a famous person like Post Malone or Billie Eilish. Why have real friends when you can have fake famous friends with video to convince others? It’s called Flextime.

Marketing agency MSCHF is believed to have possibly developed this as a stunt, and strategist Daniel Greenberg told The Verge why it’s catching on.

“Millennials are all about texting,” Greenberg said of the generation and their smartphone habits. “Everyone my age and younger is always FaceTiming. I have gone to many a bar in Brooklyn and pretended that I was talking to Post Malone and so people have believed it.”

Flextime is out now as a browser version for anybody to use, but you can not share anything directly. A mobile version is out through a thid-party app called Monkey where you can share the recordings directly to Instagram or Twitter.

Apple’s iTunes will soon be gone

Consequence of Sound is reporting today that Apple is shutting down iTunes, it’s portal for music, TV shows, movies, and podcasts which innovated the distribution of media when it started in 2001.

The move by the tech giant is based on multiple factors,  Apps for Music, TV, and Podcasts are already on iPhones and iPads; Mac and MacBook users will now have access to them. Apple has also expanded into putting out content itself and it’s own video streaming service with exclusive shows. With the diversification of all the different content on iTunes and it’s own content distribution efforts, it seems like the company felt like launching apps for each individual feed was a better way to go.

Apple will announce a new line of apps for your content needs on Monday at it’s developers conference.

Philly Cheesesteak Cheesecake marks the beginning of the end

Every city has its own special culinary thing right. Chicago has Vienna Beef hot dogs, Cincinnati has Skyline Chili, St. Louis has…. well just a bunch of stuff that doesn’t make any sense, and of course Philidelphia has the world famous Philly Cheesesteak. It is a simple creation, yet the joy it brings to the soul is more complex than string theory. The good people of Philadelphia have worked so hard to share their beautiful creation with the people of the world and in return, someone decided to go and ruin it for everyone. What I’m referring to of course is the cheesesteak cheesecake.

I think @holliballer on twitter summed up exactly how everyone feels about it

There is so much wrong with this cheesecake. First off, cheesecake is suspect at best. Second, YOU DO NOT PUT PEPPERS ON A CHEESESTEAK.

I think we all need to take a step back and just reconsider what we’re doing with our lives.

For sale: Slightly used breast implats

WTF News

Have you ever taken a look at Facebook Market place?

You’ll find a lot of clothing, furniture, or household items, but if you’re in San Antonio Texas you could find yourself a pair of implants!

Tammie is selling her slightly used, size D, implants. They don’t come with the procedure but $200 doesn’t seem too bad for just the pair of boobs.

Think you’d purchase something like this through Facebook? I mean she did say it comes from a “smoke 💨 free … Clean 🧽 House 🏡.”

  4. General Conditions. Station reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Station’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Station in its sole discretion. Station reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual it finds to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or acting in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner. Any attempt by any person to deliberately undermine the legitimate operation of the Contest may be a violation of criminal and civil law, and, should such an attempt be made, Station reserves the right to seek damages from any such person to the fullest extent permitted by law. Station’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules shall not constitute a waiver of that provision.
  5. Limitations of Liability. The Released Parties are not responsible for: (1) any incorrect or inaccurate information, whether caused by Station, entrants, printing errors or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (2) technical failures of any kind, including but not limited to malfunctions, interruptions, or disconnections in phone lines or network hardware or software; (3) unauthorized human intervention in any part of the entry process or the Contest; (4) technical or human error which may occur in the administration of the Contest or the processing of entries; or (5) any injury or damage to persons or property which may be caused, directly or indirectly, in whole or in part, from entrant’s participation in the Contest or receipt or use, non-use or misuse of any prize. No more than the stated number of prizes will be awarded. 6. Entrant agrees that: (i) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved individually, without resort to any form of class action; (ii) any and all disputes, claims and causes of action arising out of or connected with this Contest, or any prizes awarded, shall be resolved exclusively by the United States District Court or the appropriate state court located in the Station’s listening area; (iii) any and all claims, judgments and awards shall be limited to actual out-of-pocket costs incurred, including costs associated with entering this Contest, but in no event attorneys’ fees; and (iv) under no circumstances will entrant be permitted to obtain awards for, and entrant hereby waives all rights to claim punitive, incidental and consequential damages and any other damages, other than for actual out-of-pocket expenses, and any and all rights to have damages multiplied or otherwise increased. SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE LIMITATIONS OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, SO THE ABOVE MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of entrant and Station in connection with the Contest, shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of the state in which the Station is located, without giving effect to any choice of law or conflict of law rules (whether of the state in which the Station is located or any other jurisdiction), which would cause the application of the laws of any jurisdiction other than the state in which the Station is located.

“So I’m dating my dead boyfriend’s son”

A woman recently wrote into the popular Ask Amy column in the Chicago Tribune about a very personal problem. She started dating her dead boyfriend’s 21-year old son. Here’s where it gets weird, while she is not related to the 21-year old son, she IS the mother of 2 kids from the deceased boyfriend!

So here’s some background. The woman and the boyfriend had been together for 25 years. They had a son and a daughter together, but the boyfriend also cheated on her which resulted in the 21-year old son in question. She had no idea that this kid existed until he was 15 years old!

Well, five months ago the boyfriend died and now she’s decided to shack up with his SON. She justifies it as an ok thing because she isn’t his mother and they are 2 consenting adults. Her children, on the other hand, have disowned her and have called the relationship disgusting.

Ask Amy agreed with the woman’s kids who said, “Your choice to engage in a sexual relationship with [your children’s] half-brother a mere five months after their father’s death is disgusting, a poor decision, and inappropriate.”

This seems a little too close to a GOT scenario. One thing is for sure… She really needs to come on the KQX Morning Crews Relationship Court.

Cubs-Astros game gets emotional after foul hit

Wednesday nights game between the Chicago Cubs and the Huston Astros had an intense moment when a foul ball hit a child, sending her to the hospital.

Cubs outfielder Albert Almora Jr. hit a line drive in the fourth inning into the field-level stands down the third base line, where it ended up hitting the girl. He reacted instantly to seeing her get hit and got very emotional over the incident.

He eventually ran over to a security officer near where the ball went to check out the condition of the girl, where he became emotional and hugged the officer.

Later, Reddit user matts290 wrote an update on the child’s situation:

“She is going be OK according to my mom. She was 4 rows away and just talked to security guard who said they are taking her to hospital for precautionary reasons but early signs are good.

Edit: Little girl is 4. She is talking and awake. Security let Almora know too and he was emotional and thankful.

Edit 2: the Almora hug with female security guard was one of joy but very emotional. That female security guard is who gave my mom the update. She is 2nd row on the 3rd baseline.

Edit 3: Because it’s the internet, here is a pic my mom took of the hug Almora gave after security told him girl was OK.”
