This Youtuber build the world’s first Tesla pickup truck, Truckla

Simone Giertz has turned her Tesla Model 3 into the ‘Truckla” pick up.

She wanted a Tesla pickup but Elon Musk hasn’t made one yet. Tesla will occasionally unveil a new product and then wait over a year to produce it. So instead of waiting till 2021 or whenever she decided to Build her own.

On Youtube, she posted two videos of the process, one being the work that was put into making the Truckla…

The other being a moc commercial of the pickup.

Karaoke comedian advances on ‘America’s Got Talent’

Karaoke singer and Chicago-based comedian Andy Rowell is on a mission to change the negativity of karaoke singing in competitions. So he took his talents to America’s Got Talent.

Now Simon Cowell is infamous for hating karaoke singing, but Andy was able to win him over with his rendition of The Champs song “Tequila”.

How did the judges rank the performance?

Simon: “I’d like to hear the whole album actually. It was so stupid I loved it.”

Julianne: “I have props to you because I feel like it’s actually hard to be doing that, to get that kind of reaction. So I actually think it’s brilliant. Well done.”

Gabrielle: “It’s so wrong it’s right. I want to see what the next song is.”

Howie: “Song choice is always important on this. Not only the song choice but your exuberance and your excitement — I love you.”

In the words of Simon Cowell, “that was brilliant.”

Hannah Hooper of Grouplove undergoes brain surgery

101WKQX is sending all the positive love and energy out to Hannah Hooper of Grouplove who recently underwent brain surgery for a condition she has been dealing with for 6 years. Grouplove has performed at Lollapalooza and our Nights WE Stole Christmas in the past, has been a bright light in the alternative music world so it’s hard to see her endure this situation. Hooper has received an outpouring of support online from other alt bands like Cage the Elephant, K. Flay, Best Coast,

Hooper detailed the surgery at the Brain and Brain Spine Center in Arizona in an Instagram post today.

Life is wild. Less then 2 weeks ago I was flying high at my first solo art show – then just a few days ago I was getting checked in for brain surgery at Barrow Brain and Spine in Phoenix. 6 years ago I fainted and woke up in the ICU. We thought it was probably just dehydration and exhaustion but after an MRI the doctors discovered a cavernous malformation in my brain. Over the past 6 years we have been carefully monitoring it while it grew bigger and bigger. It gave me blurred vision, migraines and all kinds of other scary symptoms. I was told that if I didn’t deal with it now, it could lead to much more serious complications down the road. After going back and forth a million times, I realized that facing my fears was the right thing to do for myself and my family. I want to stick around! A few days ago I finally got the surgery. Dr. Michael Lawton and his incredible team of geniuses were able to successfully remove the cav mal from my brain. Accepting love and surrendering to people helping me has healed me on so many levels and for that I’m forever grateful. I am out of the hospital now and getting stronger everyday. I can’t wait to make a full recovery over the next couple of months and be back stronger and better than ever. Thank you to my friends and family who were by my side through it all. Life really is so beautiful. I love my life. ❤️

Happy Tuesday, Taco Bell has free tacos

You may remember Taco Bell’s steal a game steal a taco promotion that was happening during the NBA finals between the Golden State Warriors and the Toronto Raptors. The way the promotion worked was that if any team won an away game then Taco Bell would give away a free Doritos-locos Taco to everyone in America, including Canada.

Well, the Golden State Warriors won on the Raptors home court in game 2 of the finals which gave everyone a reason to celebrate… FREE TACOS.

Today is the day to get your taco. between 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. you can head to any Taco Bell and they will plop a taco into your hands for free, no questions asked.

To be clear, this is only happening today, Tuesday, June 18th. You have to be in person to receive the free taco; you can’t have it delivered, so get to your local T-Bell soon before the lines start to form!

Amazon is selling a device that’s designed to give you a shock anytime you give into your bad habits. It’s called the Pavlok wristband.
The bracelet costs $200 and delivers a zap on your command. According to the manufacturer, you’ll start to feel your urges subside within 3-5 days.

You can also have your friends help you with their Pavlok app, that way they can send you a shock on your behalf.

Maybe this is something Justin should look into to quit smoking cigarettes.

Well, this dad decided to prank his daughter, while giving her a little lesson on why her shorts are too short.
