Cubs continue to stumble as Wild Card race heats up

It’s not looking good for any team in Chicago. In fact, for the Cubs specifically, they are nearing a nightmare scenario.

While the White Sox, Bears, and even Fire remain abysmal, the Cubs were the sole bright spot in Chicago sports this summer. Now, however, as the season winds down, the Cubs are in danger of not making the playoffs. The squad has dropped the first two games of a three game series against the best team in baseball, the Atlanta Braves, both of which have happened in humiliating fashion, and at press time, they are currently out of the playoff picture via being on the wrong end of a tiebreaker with the Miami Marlins.

Bears deny raid at Halas Hall after day of chaos, resignation

A social media firestorm immediately followed, with reports that both the home of Williams and Halas Hall had been raided by federal agents. This story was first reported by Jon Zaghloul.

The Bears have since come out and denied all allegations outside of Williams simply resigning. Williams retained representation from Andrew M. Stroth, a Chicago-based sports attorney who’s worked with the Bears in past situations

Pickleball courts now open in Grant Park

The newly paved courts were built with a $500,000 grant from Lollapalooza and an additional $41,000 raised by the Grant Park Advisory Council. Lollapalooza’s contribution comes after years of wear and tear from using the tennis courts for festival parking.

The pickleball courts sit next to the tennis courts on what used to be a sand volleyball court.

NASA predicts the end of the world by 2182

It’s over.

According to scientists, Bennu, a Near-Earth Object, has a chance to pass through what they call a “gravity keyhole,” which would send it on a death-spiral towards Earth in the year 2182. A team predicts Bennu has a 1 in 2,700 of hitting Earth. In 2135, Bennu will zoom past Earth just close enough that our planet’s gravitational pull could affect it in just the right way to put it on a path to hit us on Sept. 24, 2182, which is only 159 years away.

You’ve got 159 years left to make something great happen. Go do it.

The hospital in Australia has rebutted his claims because he did not suffer any injuries during the C-section he observed.
