Imagine Dragons frontman Dan Reynolds was trick or treating last weekend when a garage band in Las Vegas noticed him walking by, as Imagine Dragons have been Vegas royalty of sorts. Anyways, the garage band kindly asked Reynolds to jam with them, and Reynolds obliged, busting out an acoustic version of their 2013 hit, ‘Radioactive’.
This is as good as it gets. Props to Dan Reynolds for being the coolest rockstar on the block, and props to the garage band, known as Streetfolkband, for stepping up to the plate in such a big moment.

Iceland is one of the few Western countries in the world that currently does not have a McDonald’s. They did at one point, about a decade ago, but when they announced that they were shutting down the nation’s Mickey D’s, a man decided that he needed to buy the last meal that anyone in the country could get at the restaurant. For 10 years, he’s had McDonald’s sitting there, waiting for nature to take its course.

“I had heard that McDonald’s never decomposed so I just wanted to see if it was true or not.”
The burger now sits inside of the Snotra House, which as we all know is a hostel inside of Thykkvibaer in southern Iceland.
A Maryland man was stabbed to death yesterday after apparently getting into an argument at a Popeyes Chicken restaurant. The 28-year-old victim was in line to get the popular re-released chicken sandwich when he got into an argument with another man who cut in line. The argument spilled out into the street where the man was stabbed. First responders on the scene tried to save the man as he was transported to the hospital; he was pronounced dead on arrival. “For you to get that angry over anything … and to develop into this type of violence, again, is a very sad and tragic day,” said Prince George’s County Police spokeswoman Jennifer Donelan. Police are still searching for the suspect and are asking those who were at the Popeyes to come forward with any information.

Here is a quiz to prove how much of a Chicagoan you really are!
It’s pretty simple. Get all of them right, and you belong here. Slip up on something like the real name of The Bean, and it’s time for you to get outta here
Steve Easterbrook, the now-former McDonald’s CEO, was raking in a salary of $15.9 million dollars a year. All he had to do was keep his nose to the grindstone and not violate any company policies. Unfortunately for Easterbrook, he violated one major policy, that of having a relationship with a fellow coworker.
The relationship was consensual, and that’s all we know as McDonald’s declined to provide any more details on Easterbrook and the anonymous staffer that he nibbled on like a nugget.
For the third year in a row, Chicago has been named the greenest city to work in America. Chicago leads the nation in energy-efficient office buildings, according to a recent study. This puts The Windy City ahead of places like San Francisco, Atlanta, and Los Angeles.
42.2% of office spaces in this area have been green-certified.
Spencer Levy, chairman of Americas Research for CRBE notes that these changes not only benefit the great city of Chicago, but they also deliver real savings to owners and investors.

If you’re going to spend a bunch of money on the technology you need to sequence lights and music, why only do it during Christmas?
Check out this Halloween light show someone (Tom BetGeorge) created using the song “Chop Suey” — who did it for a great cause, raising money for a California shelter that helps families in crisis. As one YouTube commenter put it, “the pumpkins lip sync better than most artists faking their shows.” For real. — [eric]
Some times your favorite bands don’t have their best set, or things are just off. The Youtube channel Rock & Roll Stories documented a very odd night on an elevated stage of national TV for the Red Hot Chili Peppers when they played ‘Saturday Night Live’ in 1992. As is standard on the comedy TV institution, the Chili Peppers performed several songs between sketches but after one song went well, the second showed a serious tension on stage between guitarist John Frusciante and singer Anthony Kiedis. Frusciante leave the band for the first later that year amid drug addiction issues, only to return after gaining sobriety to have another outstanding run with the band.
Marvel and Hulu announced this week that 4 adult animated shows are coming to the streaming service in the future with comic book series Marvel’s Howard the Duck, M.O.D.O.K., Hit-Monkey, and Tigra & Dazzler. These are all fairly obscure characters in the vast Marvel universe but let’s remember that Ant-Man was pretty a bad ass movie.
Marvel has had a mixed record with TV shows with their entire slate of series on Netflix like Daredevel, Luke Cage, Iron First, and Jessica Jones as their parent company Disney launches the much anticipated Disney+ streaming subscription service which will be the new home almost all MCU content. So why are these shows going to Hulu?
Well, Disney bought the full ownership of Hulu in May. Reveiws.org breaks down all these big moves in streaming and how this impacts viewers with what shows on what service.
It would be one thing to say that Flea was on CBS This Morning (11.2.19) to talk about his new autobiography, Acid For The Children.
But it would be better to say that the Red Hot Chili Peppers bassist cracked open his heart a bit to talk about his childhood, his complex relationship with Anthony Kiedis, and how the late Hillel Slovak was the one the one who convinced him to become a bass player. If you have a spare eight minutes, its definitely worth a look.
If you are hoping for a look at life inside the band, the book ends just before the Chili Peppers start. But from all signs so far, Flea’s autobiography will be fascinating for fans and strangers alike regardless. It hits bookstores on November 5th.
Be still our beating emo hearts! My Chemical Romance were the talk of Halloween yesterday announcing through calculated social media posts, that they will return to the stage on December 20th at the Shrine Hall in Losa Angeles. The show went on sale today, and sold out in minutes. But what lead to all of this? RockFeed posted a well-crafted video laying out all of the elements to lead to this big news.
Joe Jonas (yes, that Jonas brother) got the reunion rumors rumbling this past summer when he stated that he had heard MCR rehearsing in sound stage down the hall from his band in New York. Jonas revealed the “dirt” during an English radio interview.
Frank Iero of MCR deflected the rumors with a humorous video.
Now MCR fans are tweeting apologies to Jonas after roasting him this summer over what they thought was a fraudulent announcement.
Since the band broke up in 2013, all of the members have stayed busy. Singer Gerard Way has been busy turning his successful comic book Umbrella Academy into a Netflix hit series.
Way also released a solo album in 2014 ‘ Gerard also stayed busy with music, releasing a solo album in 2014 called ‘Hesitant Alien’. His Halloweenie single last fall called ‘Baby, You’re a haunted house’ is a instant stuck-in-your-head song.
Mikey Way formed a band called Electric Century and released the album ‘For the Night to Control’.
Frank Iero has been quite active releasing three albums since MCR split. 2016’s Stomaches, 2016’s Parachutes, and the 2017 EP ‘Keep the Coffins Coming’. He most recently played Riot Fest this past September.
So will MCR play more show? Record new music? Could we get them to play Riot Fest already? Only time will tell.
So maybe you found yourself at a costume party in the past week, rubbing elbows with someone dressed up as a ‘sexy’ version of something, and having a good time. Well I was doing the same this week and felt I could trust the party hosts to let me charge my phone in a bathroom unattended, well that’s a mistake at a party where a bunch of smart ass Chicago comedians are dancing and drinking right? Well, someone got my phone and filmed the following short video.
I left my phone charging in a separate room at a party, and I LOVE this video a good hearted random stranger left on my phone pic.twitter.com/JUPMi6jH2F
Yeah, you were expecting something really bad? No unnecessary nudity or mean negativity, just ‘hey you, go get those dreams’. I understand this person who I did not meet directly goes by the name Collin, and I want to thank him. Also if you watch this video you can hear a crowded kitchen chant “KEVIN! KEVIN” because I was ripping a beer bong. Yes, a stranger was telling me to chase my dreams while I chugged a beer. This why I love Chicago, and never want to leave.
