Houses covered in ice on Lake Erie

Overall it’s been a more mild winter season compared to past years in the Midwest, but you can’t say the same for Hamburg, New York which sits on the coast of Lake Erie, as this one viral news report showed off a house completely covered in thick ice. Yes, that’s a not a ice carving, that is real. No, this is not the evil hideout of Mr. Freeze from the Batman comics. WROC sent out of a drone apparently that got this ice footage.

This must be beautiful homes to live in the summer season, but this winter has made it awful.

Does this mean this homeowner technically lives in an igloo?

Here is what it’s like when you park your car next to Lake Erie in  an ice storm.

Rack out (not rock out)…to lullaby versions of Panic! At The Disco.

There is a group — Sparrow Sleeps — that are about to release their 55th album of lullaby covers.  And that album is the group’s take on Panic! At The Disco— which they are calling Pray For The Restless.  Clever.  That album will be available on Monday (March 2nd) — and available to preview below.

Were these movies cursed in real life?

Streaming service SHUDDDER is teasing a really intriguing docu-series for horror fans and just movie fans in general. ‘Cursed Films’ looks at the ubran legends and conspiracy about on-set/off-set disasters to some of the biggest scary movies of all time including ‘the Exorcists’, ‘Poltergeist’, and many more. They get into the stuff we’ve only heard about that may be true and the sad things we know are true like the accidental death of Brandon Lee on the set of ‘the Crow’.

AV Club reports the first three episodes—those covering Poltergeist, The Omen, and The Exorcist—will premiere on April 9. The remaining two episodes will follow on April 16.

Candyman returns to haunt Chicago, in new Jordan Peele story.

A “spiritual sequel” to the 1992 film Candyman is coming to theaters this summer, in the form of a movie written by Jordan Peele.

The action will pick up 25 years after the events in Cabrini Green.  A lot has changed in the now-gentrified Chicago neighborhood, but a new round of characters will discover some things never do.  Especially when you call their name five times in the mirror.

Brian is secretly in business with Rod Blagojevich

You never know who to trust in this world and that’s a shame.

You may remember that former Illinois Governor Rod Blagojevich was released early from his prison sentence after trying to sell Barack Obama’s senate seat back in 2008.

You may also remember known radio personality and former mayoral candidate, Brian Haddad, going on a  smear campaign against the disgraced governor.

Well, apparently that smear campaign was just a cover-up for their friendship.

We received this leaked footage of Brian secretly meeting with Blagojevich to discuss what can only be assumed as a dastardly and immoral deal. It’s like drinking orange juice after brushing your teeth.

We do not have the details on the business deal yet, but you can trust the KQX Moring Crew to keep you updated as soon as more details of the meeting are released.

Brian Haddad was contacted for an interview about the meeting, but he refused to comment on the ongoing investigation.

Cutie of the day: This dog that failed service dog training

School is ruff.

Haha get it, because the post is about a dog… okay so anyway.

This pup failed every single test that the service dog trainers threw at him with flying colors.

At least give the guy a participation award! The heart was there!

Maybe he should study a little more before trying again.

17/10 very cute dog.

PSA – When you drop your kids off, make sure they’re in the car

Sometimes people are a little too ready to get the day going, for this mom that is the case.

She thought she was on a roll! Had her coffee, walked the dog, now let’s drop off the kids at school.

Except she forgot one crucial part of that last step…

Well, at least the thought was there.

Also, shout out Mom for dropping her kids off at school, my mom always made me catch the bus.

J Lo and Shakira are too sexy for TV

You remember J Lo and Shakira’s steamy Half Time show right?

It was awesome!

They were TOO SEXY TO HANDLE!

The FCC released that they received 1,300 complaints about the performance calling it immoral and just plain inappropriate for their innocent eyes.

Now Adam Levine had a similarly sexy halftime performance the year before, where he actually took clothes off.

The FCC only received a whopping 94 complaints about his performance.

Hmmmmmmmmmm… Interesting, very interesting.

Blind and deaf dog saved after being snatched by a hawk!

A Pennsylvania woman was horrified when her blind and deaf poodle was snatched off her porch by a hawk.

That is usually a done deal. Hawks are not known to be forgiving to their prey.

Imagine her shock, however, when the dog was found ALIVE more than 24 hours later.

Man, she sure has a lot of dogs in that house…

That’s not weird or creepy at all! Sorry, beside the point.

What’s important is that her pet is home safe and sound after it’s little flight.

Who knows, maybe the dog had fun.

Can you eat plant-based meat during Lent? Chicago Archdiocese weighs in…

We have a ruling from the Archdiocese of Chicago on whether or not whatever form of “I Can’t Believe It’s Not Beef” you enjoy is — kosher? — to eat during the six week religious observance of Lent.

Answer:  plant-based meat is not flesh from an animal, which means it is not technically “meat.”  But according to an interview the Office of Divine Worship did with NBC Chicago, you may be missing the point.

So…maybe?  It’s up to you and your tolerance for being struck by lightning or generalized smiting.  — [eric]

Hotpocket heir is in hot water after college scam

Did anyone at USC get in for their actual academic achievements??

Another ultra-rich person was caught trying to buy their child’s way into the school.

Michelle Janavas is the heir to the Hot Pocket fortune, and she was just sentenced to FIVE months in prison.

Man, that’s cold… Just like the middle of a Hot Pocket.

That’s what you get rich people!

I wonder who’s going down next?

Jif settles the debate with Gif jar

Is it pronounced Gif with a hard g?

Or is it Gif with the soft j sound?

It is an age-old question, and Jif peanut butter has decided to put an end to it by partnering up with Giphy to create their brand new Gif peanut butter jar.

WHAT IS THE ANSWER!!!

Oh, wait… they got us again.

Jif you sly dog! With your fun and trendy internet marketing campaigns!

Alright, now I feel stupid. Still gonna buy 6 cases of Gif peanut butter though.

The Tik Tok generation has gone too far

Anything for views right?

Tik Tok, the video-sharing app that is super popular among teens and young adults has taken over everyone’s timelines as of recent.

Usually, the videos consist of a short comedy sketch, cute animal, or DIY hacks and tricks… but then there are videos like this.

Alright, Tik Tok canceled. No more.

Way to ruin all the fun you two, now if you’ll excuse me I need to go tear my eyeballs out of my gosh dang head.

GIF vs JIF now involves peanut butter

The debate has raged for years. Is it ‘Gif’ or ‘Jif’? The short little animated posts you see all the time usually come from web content hub Giphy has collaborated with peanut butter people Jif to play on this play between words. So which one do YOU think best represent the thing on your internet feeds that shows off a reaction or emotion you would rather embed from a code than type out yourself?

YouTube channel React covered the debate with teams. Yes, we have teams of people arguing over this.

As this silly debate video from Comedy Central notes, the creator of GIF says it should be pronounced as ‘GIF’ but still many want to say ‘JIF’. It has some testy language be aware.
