I don’t know how he did it, but Brian somehow called the Nick Foles trade before it was announced.
He says he saw it in a dream.
Hmmmmmm… Maybe he has some insider information.

This is awesome! After seeing all of these videos of people singing in Italy, it’s nice to finally see some Chicagoans come together!
These neighbors in Roscoe Village decided to sing together, practicing social distancing of course, and it turned out amazing!
Sweet Home Chicago.

Yesterday Melinda showed that she has the biggest brain by answering nine questions in a row.
Do you think you can take down the champ? Then join Brian, Ali, and Justin from 6 – 10 am today to prove your trivia skills.
It is sudden death trivia. You keep going until you get a question wrong.
Think you got it? Then listen in and call (312) 591-8300 when Brian, Ali, and Justin ask for contestants.
It is amazing how much we take animals for granted.
I swear they are the most kindhearted individuals, well except spiders… F spiders.
Look at this horse help his owner out when he fell into a ditch.
He’s a hero!

The need to “flatten the curve” has created a situation where friends, neighbors, and family have found themselves out of work with no immediate relief or “end of the tunnel” in sight. We created this list to be a fluid community resource that’s meant to be shared and added to. We’re all in this together.
Here are different ways to donate to workers and industries affected by COVID-19
Since Purell and Germ X are getting harder to come by just take this recipe and make your own! FOLLOW PRECISELY. If you plan on making your own hand sanitizer, remember that your ingredients must be measured precisely for the product to work. Otherwise, you can actually do more harm than good.

1 mixing bowl, 1 mixing utensil, a clean funnel, and a thoroughly washed and dried bottle with a resealable lid or pump to store sanitizer

In these trying times, there is a toilet paper crisis.
Mostly because people are stupid. But still, it’s hard to find that sweet sweet toilet paper.
So conservation is key right now. Here is a little graphic on how you could cut down on TP by wiping with only two squares!
For a step by step explanation on this method, check out Newfa’s article here.
You’re welcome Chicago.
Jared Leto came home from a 12-day silent meditation retreat in the desert and found out that we are in a global pandemic.
That is not very zen now, is it?
Hot take, maybe he should go back… and just stay there forever.
The fact that he went on a silent meditation retreat in the middle of nowhere for what I can only assume cost approximately 3 of my annual salaries combined makes me feel all of the anger of the world.
Well, welcome to the thunder-dome baby! You’re back in my world Jared Leto!
Ok, at least he told people to stay inside… that was pretty cool of him.
Sports not being played is a nightmare for a lot of us.
What else are we supposed to scream at our TV for? What to we gamble on!?!
That’s where marble racing comes in to save us all.
ELECTRIC!
Will this last after sports come back? No, pretty guaranteed it won’t.
But for now… Sport of the future!!!
It’s not the St. Patrick’s Day we are used to having. We did not get line up on Western in Beverly. Some people still went out drinking in River North this past weekend, but with outbreak forcing everyone to chnage their routine we got more time to be at home and be safe. So let the Irish-American working class heroes Dropkick Murphys rile up the green in your blood with this free livestream today at 6pm CST/ 7pm EST from their hometown of Boston.

The first major Marvel movie of the year, “Black Widow,” has been pulled from the schedule. It was set for release on May 1, but COVID-19 concerns (and nationwide theater closings) have caused Disney to put the brakes on the film’s release.
Variety reports that while the movie’s budget hasn’t been made public, a typical Marvel flick can run up to 200 million to make. No word on when it will eventually released.
The demand on grocery stores right now is insane. As a result, Jewel-Osco is looking to fill over 3000 job openings.
The need extends across all of Jewel’s departments, and the jobs include benefits.

Great info if you find yourself fighting COVID-19:
Some helpful advice from my mom who is a nurse: Good advice from a nurse 👩⚕️ if you should get the virus: I know we’re all tired of hearing/talking about it, but one thing I HAVEN’T really seen going around is advice for what happens if you DO get coronavirus (many of us will),

“Some helpful advice from my mom who is a nurse: Good advice from a nurse if you should get the virus: I know we’re all tired of hearing/talking about it, but one thing I HAVEN’T really seen going around is advice for what happens if you DO get coronavirus (many of us will), we’re only seeing advice for how to try to AVOID it. So as your friendly neighborhood RN, a wee thread: Things you should *actually* buy ahead of time (Erm, not sure what the obsession with toilet paper is?): Kleenex, Acetaminophen (Tylenol) in 325 mg tablets, Ibuprofen (Advil) in 200 mg tablets, Mucinex, Robitussin or DayQuil/NyQuil, whatever your cough medicine of choice is If you don’t have a humidifier, that would also be a good thing to get. (You can also just turn the shower on hot and sit in the bathroom breathing in the steam). Also a good time to make a big batch of your favorite soup to freeze and have on hand. If you have a history of asthma and you have a prescription inhaler, make sure the one you have isn’t expired and refill it/get a new one if it is. You basically just want to prepare as though you know you’re going to get a nasty respiratory bug like bronchitis or pneumonia. You just have the foresight to know it’s coming. For symptom management, use the meds I mentioned. For a fever over 101, alternate Tylenol and Advil so you’re taking a dose of one or the other every 3 hours. Use both cough suppressants and expectorants (most cough meds have both). Drink a ton, hydrate hydrate. Rest lots. If you’re sick, you should not be leaving your house except to go to the doctor, and if you do, wear a mask (regular is fine, you don’t need an N95). You DO NOT NEED TO GO TO THE ER unless you are having trouble breathing or your fever is very high and unmanaged with meds. 90% of healthy adult cases thus far have been managed at home with basic rest/hydration/over-the-counter meds. We don’t want to clog the ERs unless you’re actually in distress. The hospital beds will be used for people who actively need oxygen/breathing treatments/IV fluids If you have a pre-existing lung condition (COPD, emphysema, lung cancer) or are on immunosuppressants, now is a great time to talk to your PCP or specialist about what they would like you to do if you get sick. They might have plans to get you admitted and bypass the ER entirely. One major relief to you parents is that kids do VERY well with coronavirus— they usually bounce back in a few days, no one under 18 has died, and almost no kids have required hospitalization (unless they have a lung disease like CF). Just use pediatric dosing of the same meds. @lil_intravrt”
Stay safe,
<3 Lauren

Happy Election Day! If you are able, GO VOTE (and stay 6 feet away from the person in front of you please.)
Need to find your polling place? Go HERE.
Want to know who is running? That’s HERE.
You can still mail-in your ballot, it just needs to be postmarked by today. Check your local post office for hours.
“NOTICE: HOW YOU CAN HELP: If you are a healthy and capable voter and find your precinct to be under-staffed and over-burdened, you are WELCOME and ENCOURAGED to offer to be sworn in as a Substitute Judge to help the election run smoothly in that precinct. Those who are sworn in and serve Election Day will be compensated on a pro-rated basis ($170 for the full day of 5 am thru after polls closed) based on the number of hours that they serve.”
I love the smell of democracy in the morning. And hand sanitizer.

You can ignore the song in the background.
Actually don’t it only makes the hamster more entertaining.
Good hamster!
Congrats on your big Cutie of the day award!
The newest, most electric sport is actually a classic.
Full-on armored medieval battle-ax fighting.
That’s right people are swinging weapons at each other for fun again.
Two words.
HELL YES!
I don’t want to encourage fights with weapons, but come on now! This is awesome!
Inspired by all of the Italian people singing on their balconies together, Patton Oswalt decided he would try to entertain his neighbors the best way he knows how.
With comedy.
Watching the videos from Italy 🇮🇹 inspired me. Entertainers must offer hope & humor to their neighbors in this time of quarantine. pic.twitter.com/ohrsBtuqzu

First, wow. That is a nice neighborhood.
Also, these neighbors are getting a free Patton Oswalt show. People pay money for that!
The Shedd Aquarium let their rockhopper penguins, Edward and Annie, have the keys to the kingdom! Follow their adventure on The Shedd Aquarium’s Facebook page here!
Here is the latest!
The adventure continues! 🐧🐧This morning, Edward and Annie explored the rotunda. They are a bonded pair of rockhopper penguins, which means they are together for nesting season. Every spring is nesting season for the penguins here at Shedd, and this year is no different! Next week, penguins, including Edward and Annie, will begin to build their nests. You’re invited to digitally join us for the nesting coverage! In the meantime, we will share a variety of animal activities, and yes, Wellington will return! While this may be a strange time for us, these days are relatively normal for the penguins and other animals at Shedd. Our caregivers are constantly providing new activities, experiences, food and more to allow the animals to express natural behaviors—even if that includes simply exploring. Let us know what penguin activities you want to see! 👇
