Happy Mother’s Day
Their latest album ‘Van Weezer’ may be delayed but beloved alt icon Weezer will get animated this Sunday on the latest episode of ‘the Simpsons’. The episode called “the Hateful Eight-year olds” will feature the Weez portraying a cover band on a romantic cruise that Homer and Marge are taking. According to Consequence of Sound, Weezer will be featured with 3 songs including a never-before-heard track “Blue Dream”.
Several alternative bands have appeared on the long-running animated TV institution including an entire episode that spoofed the Lollapalooza tour with Homer joining the tour as ‘freakshow’ performing who gets got shot in his jiggly belly with a cannonball. The episode called ‘Homerpalooza’ (Season 7 / Episode 24) came out in 1996 when Lolla was culture tidal wave of on the peak of 90’s alternative music breakthrough period culturally so it was ripe for satire. There is some very memorable scenes with Smashing Pumpkins, Cypress Hill, and Sonic Youth all providing their voices for the episode. You can stream every episode of the Simpsons now on Disney+.
The streaming search engine Reelgood has a list of the top TV shows its users are watching for the FIRST TIME since March 16th, when COVID-19 started forcing Americans to start social distancing. The status of the year’s Lollapalooza in Grant Park will be decided before the end of the month but meanwhile Lolla is answering the call to help the out-of-the-work stage hands and crews of Live Nation. Lolla founder Perry Farrell introduces this very memorable epic performance from the Foo Fighters at the 2011 party on the lake shore.
It’s another reminder of how seismically big and engaging the Foos have become as one of the greatest alternative bands of all time. It’s worth noting this was 9 years ago, and they have not missed a step, as they continue to push themselves both in the studio and on stage.

NFL star and player of the Baltimore Ravens Earl Thomas was involved in a violent altercation with his wife Nina back in April where the he was actually held at gunpoint by his wife.
The two had been fighting earlier in the day after which Earl Thomas left his home and was picked up by his brother Seth.
Nina was so upset that she hacked her way into Thomas’s snapchat account where she found videos from another woman.
Nina tracked down Thomas to a local Airbnb in their hometown of Austin, Texas where she expected to find Earl and a woman.
She did find the two in bed… but she also found Earl’s brother Seth naked in bed with them too!
So what does Nina do… well she chases Earl around with a gun, yes she took the magazine out of the gun, but she didn’t realize there was a bullet in the chamber.
Luckily the police showed up before anyone got hurt, and Nina was arrested, but jeez what a weird situation to be in!
