Some people admitted to letting personal hygiene slide a bit during coronavirus quarantine. A survey done in late March, when many of the stay-at-home orders hit the country, found that 1 in 3 people admitted to showering less. 1 in 5 said they brushed their teeth less often. There was also less laundry done during stay-at-home.

YouTuber Creezy has been building Rube Goldberg machines since 2014. His latest is a mind-bending basketball trickshot that has to be seen to be believed!
The media world is being tested (101WKQX included) with many hosts and reporters pushing out their work from home with all the distractions that come with being at home. This is great highlight from Inside Edition about all the different ways that TV news reporters and weathermen working from home have had on-air bloopers with their dogs jumping into a shot, a crying daughter, or one in one case: not wearing pants?!
While we are on news reporters losing their cool live on air, watch this memorable sketch starring Bill Hader on SNL.

Now the boys have uped the anty with the Boss. The Murphs will be joined by Bruce Springsteen for a special empty Fenway Park performance on May 29th. Cue you doing an impression of every character in ‘the Depaerted’.
WHAT YOU CAN WATCH RIGHT NOW:
Ben Gibbard of Death Cab For Cutie for months now (yeah, that’s how long this has been going on) has been doing solo acoustic shows on Youtube featuring covers, deep cuts, and hit songs from his band’s catalog. He even penned a stressed-out quarantine anthem. Here he is performing it on the Late Show.
Foo Fighters have rocked the world over and over, but until we get to see them at Wrigley Field , check out this epic show they delivered in the UK in 2008 at Wembley Stadium.
Seperately, Dave Grohl and Taylor Hawkins joined Dan from Bastille, Simon from Biffy Clyro, Ben from Royal Blood, YUNGBLUD, Rag’n’Bone Man, Chris Martin from Coldplay and more join together virtually to cover Foo Fighter’s Times Like These from their respective homes to raise money for BBC Children in Need, Comic Relief and the WHO’s COVID-19-Solidarity Response Fund. You can watch that here and yes, it’s ok to cry while watching it:
Looking for the louder side? Metallica have been offering a lot of complete shows on YouTube every Monday from their lengthy career including a very special set from their early days at Chicago’s beloved Metro in 1983.
Mark Rober, popular YouTube who utilizes his background in science to make exceptional content has made quite the piece of content: a squirrel-proof bird feeder that morphed into a obstacle course for the fuzzy tailed yard critter you need to see.
If you are a Weezer fan (and/or enjoy all this live music happening direct from the homes of artists) — and you haven’t hit up Island In The Zoom, then what the heck are you even doing?
I don’t know if the weekly covers from Billie Joe from Green Day were the inspiration, but Rivers decided to cover “Good Riddance (Time Of Your Life).” And look who joined him! It’s his wife, Kyoko — who is normally pretty private and out of the spotlight. (Come to think of it, she kinda still is — considering we just see her from the back while she does the song’s string parts on the piano.🙂)
The new album Van Weezerhas been pushed back — but at least we have performances like this to tide us over. — [eric]
Twenty One Pilots had their live debut of “Level Of Concern” on last night’s TheTonight Show with Jimmy Fallon. It has a refreshing outdoor setting, and a special appearance from a cuddly-looking character that should be familiar to TØP fans. One question, though — how does one make lemonade through e-mail, as Tyler suggests?
Coronavirus-shaped hailstones fell in Mexico and are being called a “message from God to stay home.” But they’re actually a pretty common weather occurrence. Check this OUT!
It has been trending for years, but it’s finally happening. The news was confirmed today that director Zack Synder’s cut of the 2017 DC Superhero team-up blockbuster film ‘Justice League’.will actually be seen by the public. Warner Bros confirmed today that Synder will get to release his vision of the film on it’s HBO MAX streaming service in 2021. The original film reportedly featured 60% re-shot footage when it was released. This new version has $20-30 million behind it with actors giving fresh voice over dialogue, new special effects, and the unseen footage for what could be a four hour long version. ComingSoon.net has the full story here.
“It will be an entirely new thing, and, especially talking to those who have seen the released movie, a new experience apart from that movie,” said Snyder in an article of Hollywood Reporter.
The original film which did not meet the high expectations of fans of Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman, and the DC heroes and it’s production of the film was mired in issues that included Snyder leaving the project when his daughter passed away.with fellow comic book movie master Joss Whedon (Avengers) stepping in to finish the project. When the film was met with memes dissing it’s box office results, faithful supporters swarmed the internet wanting the ‘Synder Cut’ which in itself became it’s own white whale level hype among fans who want something they apparently did not get to see. #ReleasetheSynderCut has been trending online near the top of Twitter all day today.
Screen Junkies Univserse dug deep into this whole pop culture conundrum here, and they theorize that this new movie could very different from the original.
