Twenty one pilots are freaking us out with ‘1-877-LVL-CNRN’

The clique must find the answers again. Twenty One Pilots launched an online cryptic campaign today around a live stream that is quite creepy with two speakers, a camera aimed at the viewer, and a TV on a floor in a room airing a mixture of images and the number “1-877-LVL-CNCRN”. Random announcements say “operators are standing by”, occasionally you will hear a door knocking off camera, and then the same glow-in-the-dark tape on the walls as seen in the “Level of Concern” music video. The stream has really gotten some attention with over 138,000 viewers watching live within minutes of it going live.

WHAT DOES IT ALL MEAN? We don’t know just yet, but we will keep observing like we are trying to figure what’s going in an episode of ‘LOST’. If you got any ideas or you can actually get through on the phone number, let us know on our socials.

Here are some clickies who posted their puzzle solving fandom online today. We will update this page when we find out more, so refresh this page through the day as we gather what we can.

It’s hard to get through to the phone number 1-877-LVL-CNRN, but a fan posted what the number leads to which a confirmation is indeed a game with levels.

Well this leads to a site, usb.twentyonepilots.com and entering the code that this savvy detective found, you get a zip file, It contains photos of the band, silly short videos, and images with symbols. It’s unclear how these images play together.

And now people are digging into Morse codes in the stream.

It looks like several fans are digging for a second code currently. The reddit thread covering this is quite detailed as well, and they have foudn the second code to enter at usb.twentyonepilots.com.

3:00pm CST: Getting the second folder of contents reveals more symbols and a short video of TOP jumping off chairs with EDM artist Steve Aoki. If this is all a nod to more new music, could this mean they are collaborating with Aoki?

The “hive mind” was successful with all of the little pieces coming together through many different clues and got even more complicated with symbols for letters and even braille. This reddit from user Imaginetop lays out when code number 20 revealed.

imagine going through all of this, finally getting to graduate high school, and then getting sprayed down by the football fields sprinkler system at your graduation ceremony.

That is exactly what happened to these unfortunate seniors during their graduation.

These kids must really feel like the odds are stacked against them.

In their defense, these are all terrible omens…

Illinois marijuana dispensaries saw weed flying off the shelves (or out of the cases) in May. Dispensaries took in over 44 million, which was more than 5 million over what sales were in January (the first month of legalization).

Of the $44.3m made in May, roughly 34 million were from state residents. The other 10.2 were from out-of-state buyers (shout out to our friends in Northwest Indiana and Kenosha!).

Comic-Con at Home: San Diego comes to us on July 22

The San Diego Comic-Con is the pop culture industry’s biggest annual event, drawing an international crowd to its panels, exclusives and community.

COVID-19 had other plans for Comic-Con this year, and the event (scheduled for 7/22-7/26) was canceled. In its place this year will be “Comic-Con@Home,” a virtual convention open to all. The digital conference will be held on the original event dates, and every aspect will be free to virtually attend.

So instead of camping out on a convention floor, we can all wait patiently in our homes for Marvel Studios’ annual reveals. Count us in for a “Shang-Chi” sneak preview (fingers crossed)!

‘You about to lose yo job’ says her viral video changed her life for the better

When Johnniqua Charles was detained by a security officer she broke into song and dance about how he was going to lose his job, and it is amazing.

This low point in her life was captured on video and has since gone viral during the George Floyd protests.

People have even remixed the song and it is also pretty amazing.

Turns out, Johnniqua had been struggling for years with drug addiction and was also homeless. When this video went viral it helped her family find her so they could help get here back on her feet.

Johnniqua Charles is just happy that people enjoy the video and that it has done some good during these times.

That is the awesome power of the internet!

Twitter to test new feature to help stop the sharing of fake news articles

Twitter is trying out some new software that will prompt users with a message before they retweet an article that they have not actually opened and read.

This may help stop the spread of misinformation from malicious fake news sources.

Lori Lightfoot gets into foul mouthed argument with an alderman on zoom conference

Lori Lightfoot and Ald. Raymond Lopez got into a foul mouthed shouting match over the cities handling of looters and violence that has occurred in the city.

Really goes to show you not to mess with Lightfoot, she’s not afraid to speak her mind.

It would be nice if City officials could work together in a professional manner though…

 

Chicago has two new Drive- In movie theatres opening this week

Thanks to the pandemic the Chicago area is getting two new drive-in movie theatres.

Tonight the Chi-Town Futbol facility, 2343 S. Throop Street, will show movies in its parking lot on a 40-foot projection screen. The price is $33 per vehicle for up to five adults and $5 additional charge for each extra adult. The first featured film will be, “Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope.”

On Thursday, Chicago Drive-In Theaters is opening a location at SeatGeek Stadium, 7000 S. Harlem Avenue, in Bridgeview. Movies will screen at 8:30 p.m., with midnight movies on Fridays and Saturdays. Tickets are $30-$50 per vehicle. The opening night movie will be “The Goonies.”
