Hot air balloon makes emergency landing in Lake in the Hills neighborhood

This might be an interesting thing to see outside your window!

A hot air balloon had to make an emergency landing in Lake in the Hills after on of its passengers passed out on board.

How do they even steer these balloons? Let alone emergency land them!

At least Lake in the Hills residents have something to talk about for awhile…

‘Taste of Chicago To-Go’ starts today

Those days of standing in line with a wad of tickets in your hand, sweaty and annoyed by the crush of human traffic around you, just to get a breaded steak sandwich and Rainbow Cone, are on hold for now. Today sees the launch of “Taste of Chicago To-Go,” a virtual expression of the annual Taste of Chicago festival in Grant Park.

The “virtual” event includes a Dining Guide, listing featured items at participating restaurants. Each restaurant listing indicates how one can pick up their food (curbside, carry-out, delivery) and listings are broken down by category (Desserts, Classic Chicago, Ethnic and Neighborhood). “Taste To-Go” also features daily online programming, including cooking demonstrations from Tzuco, Luella’s Southern Kitchen and Monteverde. Revered Chicago musician Jon Langford is one of the acts performing in “Millennium Park at Home” Thursday night.

Welcome to the new normal. Eating goat tacos in Grant Park will have to wait for now.

New city program offers relief to families who can’t pay their water bill.

There is a new bill in Chicago that will help eligible candidates to pay their water bill.

Water is a necessity, and it is understandable especially in these times if one is to miss paying a utility bill.

The problem with missing a bill payment is all of the late fees that start to stack up which makes it even harder to get ahead of the problem and keep the water running.

This new bill will help people keep their water up and running.

To see if you are an eligible candidate, check out this link here.

A Bidet company is offering $10K for the easiest job of your life!

TUSHY, a bidet company, is offering one lucky person $10K to use their product as a toilet paper executive.

All you have to do is use the product and report your experience on social media.

The gig comes with the executive title of VP of Fecal Matter.

Not bad for the resume if you ask me…

All you have to do to be considered for the job is send in an audition video like the one above.

Good luck beating that though!

Is anyone missing a head?

Police in St Petersburg are baffled after finding a human head on the side of the road.

They have not released any identification or what happened to the victim.

I’m assuming the death was caused by decapitation.

It must be so hard to be a cop in Florida, weird stuff like this must be happening every like 10 minutes.

Why was #RIPELLEN trending on Twitter?

Don’t worry Ellen DeGeneres is okay! Even if you saw #RIPELLEN on Twitter.

The hashtag went viral after speculation that the Ellen DeGeneres show would be canceled this year.

Of course, people made a huge joke out of the situation.

Producers on the show clarified for everyone that Ellen is alive and well however, so don’t get worried!

Just some dumb internet kids causing a ruckus.

Harvard decides to stay online, but will still charge full tuition

School may be back in session in the fall, but not in person at Harvard.

But don’t get it twisted, they’re still going to charge you the full tuition even if classes are online.

That’s right, if you are “going” to attend Harvard in the fall you’ll still be paying a nice 50 grand for the full year, even if you’re not on campus.

Is it right for universities to be charging their full tuition rates if they don’t have in person classes?
