That’s correct. This grandma gave birth to her own granddaughter.

They say, “It takes a village to raise a child”, but for some it can take a village to HAVE a child… ⠀ ⠀ We are happy to announce, finally, …⠀ BABY LOCKWOOD IS ON THE WAY! ⠀ ⠀ Made with a lot of love, and a little bit of science…⠀ Baby Lockwood will be brought into this world via GESTATIONAL CARRIER, and this little miracle’s carrier is quite a special one. ⠀ ⠀ MY MOM.⠀ My mom will be carrying and delivering our baby!⠀ ⠀ The biggest supporter in my life is giving us our biggest blessing. My beautiful mama is carrying her first grandchild, Aaron and my biological child, as a gestational carrier!⠀ ⠀ Aaron and I had our reproductive DNA taken, fertilized, tested, and frozen via IVF, as my mom breezed through every preliminary test she took, to be able to give us this gift. Defying the odds at 51 years old, she’s pushing reproductive science out of the box, as ONE of only a handful of surrogates NATIONWIDE to deliver their grandchild via gestational surrogacy!⠀ ⠀ The trials and tribulations of infertility was undoubtedly the hardest venture we have had to face in our lives. ⠀ ⠀ In short that included…⠀ ⠀ 1311 days⠀ 476 injections⠀ 64 blood draws⠀ 7 surgical procedures ⠀ 3 rounds of harvesting eggs⠀ 19 frozen embryos ⠀ 8 IVF frozen embryo transfers total⠀ 4 failed embryo transfers⠀ 1 singleton miscarriage⠀ 1 twin miscarriage ⠀ 1 ectopic pregnancy ⠀ Countless tears⠀ ⠀ Sharing this adventure with my mom has been the most unique and amazing experience. Surrogacy is truly the most selfless gift. She is the pure example of “you would do anything for your kids”, and if i can even be half of the mother she is, I know i’m doing something right…⠀ ⠀ I want to give a special thanks to Dr. Kaplan with @fertilitycentersofillinois for his compassion and care in this field.⠀ ⠀ Baby Lockwood we can’t wait to meet you…⠀ See you in November!

The sacrifices she took to bring this little slice of heaven into our world takes my breath away. Holding my daughter in my arms my heart is bursting. The feeling of how I would do absolutely anything needed for this child is radiating through me when I look at her, and reflects back on what my mom did for me. ⁣ ⁣ Every move and decision I make for my daughter, I’m finding the answers through how my mom raised me. You know what…

This is kind of heart warming!

I still don’t understand how that’s legal, but whatever! Baby is happy, mom is happy, grandma is happy.

Congrats!?!???!?

Pet fish beats Pokémon Ruby

It took this fish 3,000 hours, but it finally completed Pokémon Ruby!

This was of course a live stream of someone’s pet fish who was hooked up to some tracking system that allowed the fish to move the character on screen and press buttons.

It’s one of the most electric things you’ll ever see.

AND THE FISH DID IT!

It completed the game!

It really goes to show you that anything is possible. So inspiring!

The Top New Dating Trends for 2021 Include “Apocalypsing,” “Maskerading,” and “Fauci-ing”

The dating app Plenty of Fish puts out an annual list of dating trends they expect to see more of next year.  And a few of the trends on their 2021 list have to do with COVID.  Here are 11 dating trends they expect to see more of next year . . .

1.  Fauci-ing.  Declining to date someone because you don’t feel they’re taking the pandemic seriously enough.

2.  Maskerading.  Where you PRETEND to care about masks and COVID-19, just so people will date you.

3.  Apocalypsing.  Treating every relationship like it’s your last, and getting too serious too quick.  A third of single people know someone who’s done it.

4.  Zoomlander-ing.  Like the movie “Zoolander”.  It’s people who won’t stop checking THEMSELVES out on camera when you’re on a Zoom date.

5.  Sanitizing.  This one isn’t a COVID thing.  It’s when you delete photos and wipe all evidence of past relationships from your social media.

6.  Endgame-ing.  Accidentally sending a racy photo or video to someone you’re dating.

7.  Folklore-ing.  Being so focused on fairytale romance that your expectations don’t match reality.

8.  Waldo-ing.  When someone only posts group photos on their dating profile, so it’s hard to tell which person they are.

9.  Stalk-blocking.  When you make all of your social media accounts private, so people who might want to date you can’t research you first.

10.  Bradying.  This one’s a dig on Tom Brady for changing teams.  It’s when you end a long-term relationship even though everyone says it’s a mistake.

11.  Hey and Pray.  When you play the numbers game on dating apps, and just spam a bunch of people with things like “hi” or “hey there.”  Two-thirds of women who use dating apps say it’s happened to them.

Watch Foo Fighters new ‘Shame Shame’ video, Streaming conert this week

The Foo Fighters are building to the February 5th release of their tenth album ‘Medicine At Midnight’ with a new visually-striking video for the fresh song ‘Shame Shame’. The video filmed in black and white, features singer Dave Grohl being haunted by the creeptacular dancing of actress Sofia Boutella who lurches around him and on him like a ghost you can’t shake, and then Grohl digs his own grave. He does not use a shovel, but his guitar! Throw in lightning hitting a casket and bursting it into flames. There is just a lot going on here. The video is inspired by a reoccurring dream that Grohl has had since he was a child.

The Foos will perform a streaming concert from the famed Roxy in Los Angeles on Friday, November 13th according to Consequence of Sound. The show will air at 7pm CST. Tickets are $15, and if you buy it, you will have the stream for 48 hours after the concert begins. Get your ticket here.

Here is Grohl talking about the fun the band had recording ‘Medicine At Midnight’ with creative isolation in a house. It’s worth noting that the album was recorded before the pandemic started.

Watch the trailer for the new creepy Hardy Boys show on Hulu

Since the 1920’s, the Hardy Boys have been youthful detectives solving puzzling mysteries in novels, comic books, and TV shows. The latest adaption for a series on Hulu weaves in the brother’s mother passing on and a move to Bridgeport, Connecticut with a group of friends help solve the case. The look and feel remind us a bit of ‘Stranger Things’ on Netflix with a throwback to maybe the 70’s or 80’s and just like that show, it sees young adults on the adventure. The 13 episode series debuts on December 4th.
