Stores Are Offering a Much Lower Average Discount This Black Friday Than Last Year

Last year, the major retail brands in this country offered an average discount of 40.4% off on Black Friday.  This year, they’re not quite so generous.

According to an analysis of the 7,000 Black Friday deals that are being advertised by the 26 biggest retail stores in the country, the average discount this year is 32.2% off.  That’s the lowest discount in the six years of this particular study.

There are four stores that have an average discount above 50%, though.  Those are:  JCPenney . . . Macy’s . . . Kohl’s . . . and Belk.  It’s been a tough year for giant department stores.  They need to move merchandise.

On the other end of things, there are seven stores where the average discount is under 25%.  Those are:  Ace Hardware . . . Big Lots . . . Dell . . . Costco . . . Sam’s Club . . . Overstock.com . . . and Newegg.

Medicinal prostitution?

There have been a crazy amount of states that have legalized marijuana for either recreational or medical use.

Oregon even legalized… Well, drugs!

But is medicinal prostitution the next thing to be legalized?

See if this guy can convince you.

What do you think? Does he make any good points?

Zoom will remove 40-minute time limit on Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving is going to be a very strange one.

Many people will not be gathering with their families in order to not continue the spread of the Coronavirus.

Because of this Zoom will be removing its free use 40-min time limit on their video calls on Thanksgiving.

This is great!

Even if you can’t be with family in person, at least you can still be with them ~virtually~.

Whose Karen is it?

Thanksgiving is going to be very interesting this year. It’ll be very different from what we are all used to.

One thing will never change though, a Karen will always be a Karen.

Is she wrong about this? And more importantly, where in the Chicagoland area is she from!

Playing Four Hours of Video Games Every Day Is Good for Your Mental Health

Repeat after me:  You’re not “wasting four hours a day playing video games” . . . you’re “devoting four hours a day to wellness.”

According to a new study out of Oxford University, playing video games can be GOOD for your mental health.  The researchers found people who played video games had a better sense of wellbeing than people who didn’t.

The researchers specifically tested “Animal Crossing” for Nintendo and found, quote, “If you play four hours a day of ‘Animal Crossing’, you’re a much happier human being.”
