Love locks are getting cut off bridges. And that’s the perfect thing to do.

Happy Valentine’s Day.  It’s an amazing feeling to have found “the one,” is it not?  Just do the world a favor, though.  If you ever feel compelled to hang a “love lock” as a symbol of your relationship’s permanence….just…don’t.  It would likely be one of the most ironic moves you can make.

At one of the hottest spots for couples to commemorate their union — a small pedestrian bridge in Prague (VIDEO BELOW) — crews regular come through with bolt cutters and snap the symbols right off.  And for good reason.  Worldwide, these historical structures are falling apart, under the weight of the heavy metal.

Feel free to watch.  Maybe you’re a bit bitter today and will revel in the destruction.  Or maybe you and your person will realize a $10 padlock isn’t the best way to commemorate your thing.  It’s just gonna get cut off anyways.  — [eric]

Boy Eats 54 Magnets to See If He’ll Become Magnetic

It’s never easy being 12-years-old. It’s especially difficult when you decide to chomp down on 54 magnets to see if you’ll then become magnetic. Spoiler: it did not work. His mom persisted with the doctors that the boy was really into science and was simply doing some amateur experimentation, but the only record we have of the boy doing anything scientific with this was the fact that he tried to stick copper to his belly. Not exactly an Einstein descendant.

Is this the weirdest thing you’ve ever seen someone eat? Do you have him beat? Let us know over on Facebook.

Listen to Doctors, Wear Socks to Bed!

You may think it’s tacky, but according to doctors, wearing socks to bed can help you fall asleep. We’ll let this TikTok explain.

@doctorjesssI wear socks to bed so don’t come at me im not weird

♬ original sound – PresleyWalker

We can’t argue with the doctor. Wrap those footsies up and drift off into never, never land, because this is how your body was meant to sleep. If you feel like you CAN’T do this because you hate sleeping with socks so much, tell us how you feel over on our Facebook page.

90-Year-Old Man Spends $10,000 to Get Revenge on AT&T

An elderly gentleman in California, who has been an AT&T customer for 60 years, has finally had enough. Aaron M. Epstein began noticing issues with his service about 5 years ago when streaming became a much more common way of accessing data. Since then, he’s felt that AT&T’s quality has suffered.

Thus, he took to the Wall Street Journal, paying $10,000 for two ads to call out the data conglomerate. We love that even at his age, he’s showing some guts and some heart and is fighting the good fight.

What Are the Best Jobs in America?

The company Glassdoor recently released a list of the 50 Best Jobs in America. Seeing as how this poll was conducted, the results were very interesting. Tech jobs always dominate lists like this and these results were no different, as Java Developer, data scientist, product manger (what products are they managing?), enterprise architect, and devops engineer finished in the top 5.

Why do all of those jobs sound fake?

The full list can be found here.

What do you think the best job in America is? Let us know over on our Facebook page.

Today’s Support Chicago Business: Right Bee Cider

Today we shine the Support Chicago spotlight on Right Bee Cider.

Boy meets girl. Boy makes cider to woo the girl. Now he’s right beside her. Right Bee Cider. What started as a romantic gesture grew into Chicago’s FIRST cidery, owned and operated by a local husband and wife team. Small batches, small business, and a ton of love sent your way with every sip!

Here is the note I received from Katie Morgan (owner):

“My husband Charlie and I are the Co-Founders of Right Bee Cider, and we’re proud to be the first cidery in the city of Chicago, established in 2014. This has been a wild year for everyone, but especially for our small family business! When I was 9 months pregnant with our second baby, we got the news that our taproom was being shut down due to COVID. My husband got to work pivoting our business for survival an hour after she was born. We weren’t allowed to have sit-down service, so we turned our taproom into a carryout only operation. We are looking forward to having everyone back in as soon as the city deems it safe. All of our ciders are crisp, light, refreshing, and never too sweet. Our taproom is located just west of Logan Square in Hermosa, in the old Schwinn bike building. Stop in our taproom today!”

KENTA Debuts, Soars Through the Air in AEW Debut

Last night’s AEW Dynamite was one for the books. After a thrilling start to the program which saw Darby Allin retain his TNT Title, Sammy Guevara leave The Inner Circle, and Thunder Rosa advance in the AEW Women’s Tournament, four of the biggest and baddest wrestlers hit the ring in a main event to remember. New Japan Pro Wrestling’s KENTA teamed up with AEW Champion Kenny Omega to battle Jon Moxley and Lance Archer.

This match was an out-of-control, violent brawl that felt like it could’ve taken place in Memphis in the early 1980s. It was refreshing to see in the sterilized world of COVID-era wrestling a match that got so heated and so out of control. The WWE has had all of these men under contract at various points over the last decade and they were never able to muster up excitement quite like this. AEW knocked it out of the park last night.

Man Builds Guitar Out of Uncle’s BONES

When people say rock & roll is dead, I don’t think this is what they have in mind. A man who goes by the name Prince Midnight on YouTube constructed a real, working guitar out of his uncle’s skeleton. Now they’ll be rocking for all eternity.

Is this a step too far? Do you have any ethical or moral concerns or is this good in your book? Rock on over to our Facebook and let us know what you think.

Incredible Feat of Strength by a Woman in the Snow!

Scots are built different. This tank-of-a-lady pushed a huge milk truck up an icy hill during a snowstorm, officially making her one of the biggest badasses we’ve ever seen. Just look at this.

From now until the end of time, she’ll forever be the biggest alpha when she walks into a room. No one can match this. The only thing that could’ve made this better is if the footage was shown on ESPN2 around 3:00pm. Ah, strongman competitions. Those were the days.

Coast Guard Saves People Living off of Rats, Coconuts

Three Cubans have had a very rough month. They were stranded off of a deserted island in the Bahamas, leading to the US Coast Guard in Clearwater, Florida making a heroic save of the trio after they saw the group’s makeshift flag waving for help. Due to bad weather, the rescue was delayed by a day, but upon being spotted, the crew was dropped down food, water, and a radio.

Of course, being on an island for 30 days means limited resources, and according to the Coast Guard, the group was living off of rats, coconuts, and conch shells. They’re lucky to be alive and it’s a miracle that, according to the Coast Guard, they were in good shape with no injuries when they were rescued.

Do you think you could live on a deserted island for 30 days? Be realistic about it. Shoot us a message on Facebook and let us know how you think you’d do.

2021 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame nominees announced

The nominations for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame’s class of 2021 are in and include Foo Fighters, Mary J. Blige, Iron Maiden, Tina Turner, the Go-Go’s, Rage Against the Machine, Kate Bush, Devo, Chaka Khan, Carole King, Jay-Z, LL Cool J, New York Dolls, Todd Rundgren, Fela Kuti and Dionne Warwick.

Voting is now open and you can select up to five nominees a day HERE.

The 2021 class will be announced in May and inducted in a Cleveland, Ohio, ceremony in the fall.

“To be eligible for this year’s ballot, each nominee’s first single or album had to have been released in 1995 or earlier. Seven of the 16 acts on the ballot (Foo Fighters, the Go-Go’s, Iron Maiden, Jay-Z, Tina Turner, Fela Kuti, and Dionne Warwick) are appearing for the first time, although Carole King was inducted along with Gerry Goffin as a non-performer in 1990 and Tina Tuner entered the institution in 1991 along with Ike Turner.

If King and Turner are inducted, they’ll be the second and third female artists to enter the Hall of Fame twice following Stevie Nicks in 2019. It’s also an opportunity for Dave Grohl to enter the Hall of Fame for a second time following his 2014 induction as a member of Nirvana. Foo Fighters and Jay-Z are the only acts this year to appear on the ballot in their first year of eligibility.”
