Musk announced that he was going to sell one of his tweets as a NFT, but when a bidder offered him $1.1 million for the rights to the non-fungible token, Musk balked at the idea and revoked his offer, noting that it “just didn’t feel right”.

Emma Davey, a narcissistic abuse recovery coach at My Trauma Therapy has developed a list of signs to avoid when it comes to relationships. These are all based the idea that your partner could be dangerously narcissistic.

1. Lying: narcissists never tell the whole truth and nothing but the truth. Everything has to be spun in their own way.
2. Manipulation and Control: believe it or not, a narcissist wants everything to be about them!
3. The Need for Validation: Any form of a relationship involves give-and-take when it comes to affirmation, but someone that is constantly prying at you for more and more validation could be dangerously affecting your mental health.
4. Lack of Empathy and Inability to Apologize: despite what Timbaland and One Republic might tell you, it’s not too late to apologize. That is, if you’re capable of doing it in the first place. We’re all going to be wrong eventually. Take it on the chin and say you’re sorry when you need to.
5. Gaslighting: gaslighting is when a person tries to convince somebody else (the victim) that they are wrong about something, when in fact they are not. A narcissist will use this tactic to brainwash their victims.
6. Lack of Respect for Boundaries: Narcissists know no bounds. They will constantly push and push until they have sent you over the edge. Even in the closest of relationships, boundaries are an absolute necessity.

If any of these sound like your partner, it might be time to sit down and have a talk with them. If any of these sound like you, then just remember it’s not too late to steer the ship in a different direction.
