Chicago Pushing to Be Fully Reopened By July 4
On Wednesday, Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced that the goal for the city is to be reopened by July 4 this summer. Summer events such as street festivals and concerts were announced on Wednesday, including Taste of Chicago To-Go, Millennium Park Programs, and City Markets, which are slated to return on May 15. Mask wearing and social distancing will be encouraged at all of these events. A full list of events on the docket for this summer can be found here.

New Study Shows Men with Big Noses Also Have Big…You Know…
You know what they say? Big nose, big hose. A recent study reveled that men with large noses are more likely to have tree trunks growing out of their pants. They said it may be down to exposure to key hormones, called androgens, in the womb. More info on the study can be found here.

Hero Alert: Chicago Uber Driver Saves Life, Turns Down Reward
Mike Bussan, an Uber driver in Chicago, reacted quickly and ultimately gave a gunshot victim another chance at life earlier this week. Bussan rushed the victim and his brother to the hospital after hearing their car crash near Clark and Roosevelt in the South Loop. He scooped up the two and rushed them to the hospital. Afterwards, he was surprised with a cash reward, which he declined.

An Actual Explanation about McDonald’s and Their Ice Cream Machines
We don’t want to come across as Karen’s, but what’s the deal with all of these broken ice cream machines at McDonald’s (wait, is Seinfeld a Karen?). The Cutest Cubs Highlight of the Season
Chicago parents, this is how you do it! In the midst of an afternoon thrashing on the Dodgers, the visitors found one small glimmer of hope with a solo home run from Keibert Ruiz. That glimmer of hope was luckily immediately erased by this adorable Cubs fan combination.

Melinda Gates is about to be swimming in cash. The soon-to-be-divorcee of Microsoft founder and longtime hoarder of wealth Bill Gates, announced on social media yesterday that “After a great deal of thought and a lot of work on our relationship, we have made the decision to end our marriage.”
