Pretty much everyone I know binged Ted Lasso during quarantine, its basically the nicest show on television. If you haven’t seen it yet, stop what you’re doing immediately and watch it now and then check out the trailer for season 2. Can’t wait!

We’re not even sure how to describe this one. Take a look for yourself.
On one hand, the power of makeup is truly amazing. It’s an art form that should be applauded. On the other hand, the power of makeup is evil and something must be done about these drastic transformations. We think a maximum security prison would be the best way to go about things.
These videos never get old. Boredom strikes, the mind begins to formulate ideas, and before you know it you’re giving yourself a near-death experience in the same room that you make dinner in. It’s beautiful, in a way.
We don’t want anyone to try this, but…if you have already done so and have a video of it, send it our way on Facebook!
$400,000 for a castle? You don’t need a GED from Florida to know that this is a good deal. We sent our investigative team down to the castle to make sure that it was free of ghouls, goblins, or ghosts, and they came back with nothing. We’re not sure why this place is so cheap but there must be a catch somewhere. Granted, the place is largely destroyed at this point, but we’ve always just assumed that the word “castle” means the bidding starts at $1 million.

You can thank Brian, Ali, & Justin for providing Hollywood with some fresh ideas for a change. The trailer for ‘Karen’, a new film starring Taryn Manning from Orange is the New Black, is finally here.
If a sequel is made, we’ve heard North Aurora has some future stars in the making.
Steve Siannis of Naperville has shared some incredible footage of the tornado touching down in his backyard.

After all this time, it feels strange and exhilarating to be able to watch live music inside of a building. Local H (my favorite band if you are new around here) did a completely sold out run of 4 acoustic shows at Gman in Wrigleyville over the weekend, I was lucky enough to grab tickets to the Thursday night performance that had lots of treats. Including Scott Lucas doing a solo cover of Concrete Blonde’s Joey:
And Blake Smith of Fig Dish, Caviar & The Prairie Cartel and Dave Lugo of the Avondale Ramblers joining Scott and Ryan to cover The Beatles:
Don’t mind my singing 😀 What did you get into this weekend? <3 Lauren

(i) Text: Listen to the Station Thursday, June 24, 2021 at 8:00am, 10:00am, 12:00pm, 1:00pm, and 3:00pm during the Contest Period. When the Station announces the keyword and plays the “cue-to-text” sounder, TEXT the keyword to the Station at 312-101. Valid text entries received during the thirty (30) minute period after each cue-to-text sounder (as determined by the Station in its sole discretion) will be entered into the Grand Prize drawing. Time Delay Between Over-the-Air Analog Signal and Internet Broadcast: Due to the time delay that exists between the Station’s analog over-the-air signal and the Station’s online webcast, listeners who listen to the Station online may hear the cue to text later than listeners listening to the Station’s analog over-the-air signal. As a result, the odds of an online listener entering this Contest on-air may be diminished. Standard text messaging rates, as established by an individual’s wireless carrier, may apply, and Station assumes no responsibility for any fees or charges incurred for and associated with any text message sent to or from Station. By entering the Contest using this method, you consent to receive a bounce back confirmation text. Any and all fees arising out of the transmission of a text message shall be the sole responsibility of the entrant. Limit one (1) entry per person per phone number. Multiple participants are not permitted to share the same telephone number. Any attempt by any participant to submit more than one (1) entry by using multiple/different telephone phone numbers, identities, or any other methods will void that participant from further participation in the Contest. Summer is here which means its picnic season. Hot dogs and brats on the grill, cold beers, and watermelons with mustard on them.. Wait what? Yeah that’s right, there’s a new fad on Tiktok that has people all over are trying mustard on watermelons. What do you think? Is mustard on watermelon like getting some hot giardiniera on an Italian Beef? Or is this like putting ketchup on a hot dog?
Is mustard on watermelon the new summer treat? @clairelizzie and I investigatehttps://t.co/BInjRVgIf5

So will you?
Brian, Ali, & Justin have long been advocates of bringing handcuffs into relationships, but this couple took things a bit too far in their pursuit for eternal happiness. A couple in the Ukraine handcuffed themselves to one another for 123 days in an effort to bring new, bright emotions into their life. Those emotions turned out to be misery, dread, and hatred.
After breaking free from the cuffs, they broke free from one another for good. Who knew being unable to escape your partner for a prolonged period of time would lead to unwanted tension?
In the future, use handcuffs sparingly. That will actually help your relationship.
Have you ever seen someone showing off and you wanted to put a stop to it? Next time that happens, don’t step in, let fate run its course.
“You good, coach?” No, no I don’t think he’s good.
New kink unlocked, y’all. We didn’t know this was a thing that we wanted to see, but now that we’ve seen it, we want a lot more of it. This fitness freak who was once the strongest woman in Scotland (what an amazing accomplishment, by the way) is now making headlines for her thunder thighs. Take a look at what she’s capable of.
3 melons in 15 seconds. What have you done with your life lately?
Naperville and Woodridge are feeling the brunt of a major storm that touched down in their county last night. The storm touched down at 11:10 last night and the damage is truly shocking.

Absolutely devastating images coming out of Woodridge, Naperville, and Darien, IL this morning after last night’s wedge tornado hit the highly-populated area. Several large fires and injuries reported. Search and rescue underway. Preliminary data suggests EF-3 damage. #ILwx pic.twitter.com/JUBk0pc7zE

Give us a proof of life on Facebook if this storm touched down in your area.
Is this a good enough post-COVID mad lib for you? In the first concert at Madison Square Garden since March 2020, Dave Grohl showed off power that only he possesses. Dave Chappelle joined him on stage not to perform a Foo Fighters song, but to cover Radiohead’s “Creep”, because why not?
The Foo Fighters just brought out Dave Chappelle to sing “Creep” for the first concert at Madison Square Garden since covid. Incredible.
— Barstool Sports (@barstoolsports) June 21, 2021
Is there a cooler combination than Grohl and Chappelle? We think not.

The next Record Store Day is coming July 17th — and Foo Fighters are dropping five disco songs along with some extras under the name Dee Gees (Dave Grohl’s initials, which is just brilliant — or dad humor — or both).
Hail Satin is only going to be on vinyl, only in independent record shops, and will also include live versions of songs from their latest — Medicine At Midnight.

Beck’s landmark album “Odelay” was released 25 years ago today (6/18/96).
The groundbreaking, genre-blending, sample heavy album went double platinum and won Beck the Grammy for Alternative Album of the Year in 1997.

Gordon Ramsay is bringing a fancy burger restaurant to Chicago. Outside of Las Vegas, this will only be the second city (clever) in the US to have a location. More on this from Time Out Chicago, but you can plan on dining there late in 2021/early 2022. Man, I can’t wait to sink my teeth into a juicy, delicious idiot sandwich. — [eric]
