White Sox rumored to trade every person on the team that has any talent whatsoever

A report from MLB Reporter Bob Nightengale has led people to believe that the White Sox will be selling off their entire team at the trade deadline. According to Nightengale, the team is looking to move RHP Erick Fedde, RHP Chris Flexen, RHP Mike Clevinger, RHP Michael Kopech, DH Eloy Jimenez, and OF Tommy Pham. You know, anyone on the team that has an ounce of talent.

Erick Fedde has been a feel-good story for the Sox this year, working his way back from a season in Korea last year, so of course, they’ll be getting rid of him.

All of the best jokes from the Tom Brady Roast

Last night, Netflix presented The Roast of Tom Brady, which pushed the former Patriots quarterback to nearly short-circuit as he was forced to attempt to act like a human. The Roast saw comedians like Kevin Hart and Nikki Glaser destroy TB12, as well as former athletes like Rob Gronkowski and Drew Bledsoe.

The highlights included Jeff Ross making Tom Brady extremely uncomfortable by making a joke about Robert Kraft:

Nikki Glaser taking shots at Brady for his crypto investment:

Drew Beldsoe took jabs at his failed marriage:

And at the end, with Brady at the stand, he landed a zinger on Kim Kardashian and her ex-husband, Kanye West:

Credit to Netflix for being able to make all of these rich weirdos look deeply uncomfortable on camera.

Linkin Park considering reunion with female vocalist

Linkin Park are considering hitting the road in 2025 with a female vocalist to replace the late Chester Bennington.

Billboard was the first report that the band, who has been on hiatus since the passing of Bennington in 2017, is looking at touring and headlining festival dates next year with an unnamed female vocalist. The last time the band was seen together on stage was in October 2017, when the band played a tribute show for Bennington.

Orgy frontman Jay Gordon made headlines a few weeks ago when he claimed that Linkin Park were going to be back on the road with a female vocalist, but he later walked back those comments. It turns out that Gordon turned out to be true.

Fan speculation immediately pointed the finger at Amy Lee of Evanescence as a possible fill-in, to which she responded, “They should ask me about that. I don’t have a ton of free time, but I might do it part-time.”

White Sox double their win total over the weekend, Cubs struggle in Boston

In a monumental three-game series, the Chicago White Sox did something that they hadn’t done all season. The South Siders hosted the Tampa Bay Rays this weekend and they swept the Rays. This included a nine-run Friday night, a walk-off win on Saturday, and a two-run victory on Sunday. The Sox doubled their win total from 3 wins to 6 wins by the end of the weekend. You simply cannot ask for anything better than this.

The Cubs, who had been surging, ran into some roadblocks on Boston over the weekend. After another killer start from Shota Imanaga on Friday, the North Siders lost 17-0 on Saturday night. With a chance to rebound on Sunday Night Baseball, the Cubs gave up a walk-off single in the bottom of the ninth to drop the series.

The Sox now stand at 6-22, while the Cubs fall to 17-11.

Bears to ask for over $2 billion in public funds for new stadium

Today at noon, the Bears will unveil their plans for a new lakefront stadium, ending their multi-year battle over getting a new stadium.

Per the Tribune’s reporting, sources spoke to the news outlet on conditions of anonymity, telling them the plan is estimated to cost $4.6 billion to execute, with $3.2 billion directed toward building the new stadium itself, and another $1.4 billion dedicated to infrastructure improvements around and outside the stadium.

This, of course, will only add onto the taxes in the city, which is not what anyone wants. If it brings home a Super Bowl, however, then it will be worth it.
