This isn’t just a festival. It’s a full-blown experience. From full-album performances to carnival rides, on-site weddings at RiotLand Chapel, free arcade games, and the kind of misfit energy you only get in Chicago—Riot Fest has always been the place where alternative lives loudest. 2025? It’s cranked to 11.
[Q101] has been your home for everything alternative for decades—and Riot Fest is one of those rare moments where it all comes together: the bands you grew up on, the ones you mosh to now, and the ones your kids will scream about in 10 years.
Don’t sleep on this. 3-day GA passes are on sale now, and they’re going fast. VIP and Deluxe upgrades are your move if you want air-conditioned lounges and exclusive views.
We’ll be LIVE from the fest, talking to artists, giving away exclusive merch, and helping to celebrate two decades of chaos, music, and community.
The Bear is back and 10 new episodes are hitting Hulu in just over a month. On Tuesday morning, Variety reported that not only will the show return, but that like always, all 10 episodes of the new season will drop at once. Season 4 was filmed during the same time period as Season 3, which hit streamers last summer.
Be on the lookout at 7:00pm on on Wednesday, June 25 for new episode of Chicago’s greatest show.

I’ve been a fan of @AmyLeeEV since I was 11 years old. Her and Evanescence created a window for me that allowed my feelings to seem important. They were the place I ran to when I couldn’t stand the outside world. I wouldn’t be the artist I am today without them. Getting to create… pic.twitter.com/1JaMT8KnFs

We are officially entering “song of the summer” territory. Over the course of the last week, three of our favorite bands have submitted songs that could very easily be the best thing we hear over the next few months.
Dexter and the Moonrocks dropped an EP, Happy To Be Here, on May 7, which features not only “Ritalin”, but also their new standout single “Sarahtonin”. They play Peoria on June 8.
Our friends Pierce the Veil are back with a new single, “Kiss Me Now”. They return to Tinley Park on June 7.
Finally, Turnstile dropped a pair of singles following the success of “NEVER ENOUGH”. While there is no date yet for a Turnstile tour, they have announced shows in their hometown of Baltimore, as well as NYC and Los Angeles.
Jason House, the new mayor of the village of Dolton, has officially been sworn in. House thwarted Tiffany Henyard’s hopes of reelection in February and on Monday night was sworn in on Monday evening, along with Clerk Alison Key, and Trustees Kiana Belcher, Brittney Norwood, and Edward Steave.
House, a Dolton native who has served as a village trustee during Henyard’s term as mayor, campaigned against her to “clean house” as the village faced a seemingly unending slew of negative headlines.
The White Sox unveiled their new City Connect jerseys last night, the second such jersey in the team’s history. After spending a few years wearing the now-iconic “SOUTHSIDE” jerseys, the Sox have pivoted to a jersey that honors both the legacy of the White Sox and the Bulls, the other team that Jerry Reinsdorf owns.
The Chicago White Sox have unveiled their new City Connect uniform, a cross-sport promotion which honours the NBA's Chicago Bulls
According to Sportslogos.net, “For the first time in the City Connect program, the White Sox will offer two official on-field cap designs with this uniform, although the Dodgers and Pirates have both worn multiple caps with their City Connect sets. Both caps display the new winged-sock logo on the crown with “CHICAGO” embroidered in white within the sock. One version is a red crown with black pinstripes and a black visor, while the other features a black crown with a red visor. Each cap includes four white stars on the eyelets, referencing the design of Chicago’s oft-referenced city flag.”
