In a tweet sent last week, McDonald’s confirmed that the iconic order would be returning at some point this year on the 14th. The only other piece of info that we can gleam from the tweet is that it will seemingly return before October, given the “0x” identification.
Breakfast as we know it is changing forever starting on April 15.
The new menu will be tested at five Portillo’s locations in Chicago’s South Loop, Niles, Shorewood, Elmhurst and Tinley Park. The menu will last from 6:30-10:30.
The menu includes:
Polish Sausage, Egg & Cheese Sandwich: Scrambled eggs, Char-grilled Polish sausage, American cheese, and our signature Giardiniera sauce on toasted French bread.
Pepper, Egg & Cheese Sandwich: Scrambled eggs, sweet peppers, American cheese, and Giardiniera sauce on toasted French bread.
Bacon, Egg & Cheese Croissant: Scrambled eggs and crispy bacon layered with American cheese on a buttery, flaky croissant.
Portillo’s Chocolate Cake Donut: We teamed up with Stan’s Donuts to create this chocolate old-fashioned donut dipped in chocolate glaze and drizzled with our famous chocolate cake frosting, exclusively available at Portillo’s. (Because who says you can’t have chocolate cake for breakfast?)
Remember on Opening Day when the White Sox won and we had hope? Well, hope is a dangerous thing. The White Sox have lost seven straight and the last three games have ended in tragic fashion. On Sunday, the Sox lost in walk-off fashion to the Detroit Tigers after a 9th inning bullpen collapse. On Tuesday, Mike Clevinger loaded the bases and then walked in the winning run. This time around, the South Siders had issues in the top of the ninth.

With a chance to tie the game up at 3, Miguel Vargas pounded a ball to left field that brought in Jacob Amaya. Mike Tauchman, who was on second, rounded third, but pulled up before he was able to score. Tauchman allegedly re-injured his hamstring that sidelined him at the start of the season.

The last time that Turnstile dropped new music, it changed their lives forever. 2021’s GLOW ON elevated Turnstile from a favorite among critics and hardcore aficionados to a global powerhouse that earned primetime slots on Lollapalooza and Riot Fest, as well as opening for Blink-182 on their most recent reunion tour.
“NEVER ENOUGH”, the title track off of the new record that is slated to drop in June, dropped yesterday with an absolutely stellar music video.
Turnstile hasn’t been seen in the Chicagoland area since their epic performance at Riot Fest in 2023. While no tour has been announced for the new record, there’s no question that sooner rather they’ll be back in town.
