If for some reason your New Year’s Resolution was to avoid stupid people, we’re sorry, but there’s always next year. You’re going to need to take a seat to let the idiotic nature of this Karen post fully wash over you.
Where, oh where, could this Karen be from? The conversation lives on Facebook!
Betty White sadly passed right before her 100th birthday, which is January 17th. The late actress was well-known for her contributions to animal advocacy. The #bettywhitechallenge has been circulating to encourage people to donate $5 or more to their favorite rescue or shelter on that day to honor Betty’s legacy. Let’s continue to celebrate one of the greatest; thank you Betty White for making us better!
Adele’s new song, “Go Easy On Me” was already a banger, but Travis turned it up to 11 with his :30 second clip he just posted to Instagram. Rock out my little pop-punk friends.
Scientists in Israel conducted a study that taught goldfish how to drive a vehicle. The fishys were rewarded with food when they hit a target that moved the vehicle. The FOV, or fish operated vehicle, is a moving platform, with the goldfish on top. It moves when the fish pushes on the wall in the direction it wants to go which is the “target” because there’s food there! Yummy. Check it out!
On January 6th, 2019, Bear kicker Cody Parkey’s 43-yard field goal attempt was partially blocked, then hit the left upright, then bounced off the cross-bar and fell into the end zone. This caused the Bears to suffer a heartbreaking loss against the Eagles, 16-15, and they did not advance to the Divisional playoffs. Commentator Chris Collinsworth coined the phrase “double doink” and the play went down in history. It was Parkey’s 11th miss of the season. Doink, doink.
31-year-old Steph Matto was experiencing shooting pains in her chest and was rushed to the hospital for a heart attack scare. Her diet of beans at every meal plus anything else that has tons of fiber had taken a toll on her body. The ’90 Day Fiance’ star had been made over $200,000 selling her farts. Once she landed in the emergency room, that’s when she decided to retire.
Winnie the Pooh is now public domain, but its not THAT Winnie the Pooh. Disney still owns the red shirt, no pants one but you can use the character from A.A. Milne and Ernest Hemingway’s classic novel, and THAT one is completely naked.
So what does that mean? Well we’ll let @timxprice explain it in a better way.
New year, new illness. Introducing FLURONA which is dual infections of COVID-19 and influenza. A pregnant woman in Israel just contracted the first case, luckily mild cases of both and is expected to make a full recovery.
4 days into 2022 and we’ve got FLURONA. What’s next? Tweet me: @laurenoneil
A judge has dismissed the lawsuit filed by the grown baby that was photographed for hte cover of the Nevermind album due to the fact that the plaintiff, Spencer Elden, failed to respond to Nirvana’s motion to dismss the case. I guess you could say Elden finally realized how silly this lawsuit was and said, oh well, whatever <lowers glasses> nevermind <car explosion!>
Nothing fixes a relationship like a baby, right? Right?? This listener wanted to remain anonymous but she is in desperate need of help to fix her relationship.
What should she do? The conversation lives on Facebook!
The new 15 iOS update lets you SharePlay during FaceTime so others can see your screen. It’s designed to let people do more together virtually, like watch a show. You can even use other apps like TikTok, Showtime, or share a music playlist. More and more apps are becoming available to share. Just simply open an app while you’re on FaceTime then a prompt will ask you if you want to share your screen with the caller. Just be careful what you share! You never know what you might accidentally have open!
What shape is larger on top and slim everywhere else. It’s not Pear or Apple… it’s Airpod-shaped! Think about it, when was the last time you even saw a lady that was “hourglass” shaped. Exactly. It’s outdated, and not a lot of people are shaped like that nowadays either. This description fits pretty well I think!
A mom turned influencer wanted to give her husband something for the holidays that he would never forget. She secretly paid off all of his student loans. She wrapped up a pair of shoes that said “debt free” because she wanted him walking around like that in the future. She recorded her conversation of her paying off his loan and played it for him as he had tears in his eyes. Mom of the year!
This TV ad for AT&T is crazy because they nailed it, in 1993. How did they predict the future like this?! The idea of reading a book, “from thousands of miles away” or using “navigation” to cross the country instead asking for directions or using a map. They did mention sending someone a fax from the beach, but we will chalk that up to an “email.” What’s crazy is they’ve been working on all of the technology we have today for a long time. People have had these ideas about what the future would look like and now it’s reality. Yeah, some things are slightly different, but they got most of it right. I wonder what they’re working on now, or maybe we don’t want to know!
At the Seattle Kraken’s inaugural game, a fan sitting behind the bench noticed something about the equipment manager for the Canucks. Something was on Brian Hamilton’s neck. Fan Nadia Popovici pointed out to him that something might be wrong and that he should get it check out. He visited the doctor in October and found out that it was a cancerous growth but it was a blessing that he caught it early. He finally got the chance to say thank you to her and a fund of o$10,000 has been set up to go towards Nadia’s medical training.
Christmas is a time to get together with loved ones, celebrate life as it’s meant to be lived, and remember the ones that unfortunately have already met their maker. This is the best way to remember a fallen grandma.
We hope we made you proud, grammy.
Kids are so wise. This youngin’ has more advice than your average adult pastor. He’s a little Dalai Lama! In case if you needed a little inspirational boost rolling into 2022, listen to this child, ‘you can do anything you want to!’ That reminds me, I need to take singing lessons.
The city of Chicago and Cook County will require proof of COVID-19 vaccine starting today at indoor venues, and Secretary of State offices will be closed until the 18th due to a rise in infections. Everyone ages 5 and older will need to provide proof of vaccination at places like bars, restaurants, gyms, and other indoor venues like sporting events, or entertainment. The rules do not apply to those inside for less than 10 minutes, for example, if you’re picking up takeout. The move is due to a recent surge in cases across the country and in Chicago. Illinois is seeing it’s highest levels on record. Gov. Pritzker is urging hospitals in the state to delay elective surgeries to keep hospital beds open.
A family was enjoying their Xmas celebration when from out of nowhere, a Karen appeared ready to strike! She notified them… IN THEIR OWN HOUSE, that it was 9 minutes past 11pm and that was past her curfew… that she set… for other people… at their house. Glad she broke in to communicate that point. The family did what any Karen fighters would do, they quickly told her to get the heck out. She scurried away back into her dwelling, but beware, there are always Karens lurking!
