Gas prices are going up and now chips are too! Well, you’re getting less chips for your buck. Doritos will now be putting in five fewer chips in each bag due to inflation. Frito Lay will save around $50 million each year by doing it. Other companies have followed suit like Crest. You will be gettign less toothpaste in each tube, 3.8 compared to 4.1 oz. And the worst one of all, Charmin is making their toilet paper rolls smaller too! 244 sheets vs the old 264. The companies say they’ll still try to keep prices at reasonable levels. Ugh!

One of the last acts of Taylor Hawkins was to meet and fulfill the dream of a young fan.
The drummer of the Foo Fighters had a once-in-a-lifetime encounter with a nine year-old fan while the band was in Paraguay. Three days later, Hawkins unexpectedly passed away at the age of 50.

Emma Sofia started playing the drums two years ago, according a story from CNN. She was inspired by her uncle’s favorite band — Foo Fighters. And wanting to grab the attention of her heroes, she set up her kit outside the hotel where the band was staying and played for 30 minutes.
It worked.
Hawkins came down and had a one-on-one with the young musician — which was captured by her father and shared on social media.
If you’ve ever met Taylor, you’ll know — this is exactly the kind of guy he was. He will be so incredibly missed. #RIP
This one really stinks. Last night Taylor Hawkins, the drummer of the Foo Fighters, passed away unexpectedly at the age of 50. Tributes are rolling in from everywhere and each one is more touching than the last. I think the thing I will always take away from him is how much he loved being a rockstar. He was one of those cats that knew he won the lottery and celebrated accordingly. The first time I was lucky enough to meet him we played foosball backstage singing our favorite Cheap Trick songs to eachother. I remember walking away from that thinking, “hes no rockstar, he’s just a dude. A really really cool dude.” I can’t believe he’s gone. To honor him, here are a few of the Foo Fighters songs that will be on repeat for me and on your radio all weekend long.

The world is reeling from the shocking news that Taylor Hawkins, drummer for the Foo Fighters passed away last night at the age of 50. Little is known outside of the statement released by the band:
Five days prior to his passing, Foo Fighters played Lollapalooza Argentina and closed what is now the last set with Taylor, with Everlong.
According to Rolling Stone when Hawkins died, the Foo Fighters were in Colombia preparing to play at the Estéreo Picnic festival on the same bill as the Strokes, J. Balvin, and the Libertines. Their last gig with the drummer took place five days earlier, on March 20th at Lollapalooza Argentina. The 19-song show featured Hawkins singing lead on Queen’s “Somebody to Love,” a cover of Jane’s Addiction’s “Been Caught Stealing” with special guest Perry Farrell, and a final encore of “Everlong.”
Dream Widow was a fictional band that were featured in the Foo Fighter’s horror movie Studio 666, but now they are officially real. Check out their self titled EP below. I have to say, as far as goofy fun little side projects go, Dream Widow goes hard!

Chicago’s favorite millionaire, Willie Wilson, is going to give free gas this week, again! Hooray! Last week he gave out $200,000 and he decided he wanted to give a million this time. Below is a list of the 50 gas stations that are participating. Each car will get $50 worth of free gasoline, and the event starts on Thursday at 7am. It will go until the money runs out. Last time, people started lining up around 2am to get theirs, so expect a line if you do it.
