Billy Corgan is all about Chicago — and he is the surprise owner of an iconic neon sign from the city’s history.
During the early days of the Smashing Pumpkins, Billy Corgan used to stop and admire the neon "Chop Suey" sign outside the Orange Garden restaurant in North Center.
The Orange Garden “Chop Suey” neon has stood over Irving Park Rd. for decades — and after announcing the restaurant was being sold, the Smashing Pumpkins frontman will preserve the sign in his Highland Park tea shop.
Blink 182’s “All The Small Things” is blasted at Avalanche games in the third period. The fans love it and so does lead singer Mark Hoppus. It will always be awesome!
Avalanche fans singing “All the Small Things” will always be awesome 👏
Did MJ really withhold food from under performing teammates? Apparently, after a bad game, when flying home on the jet, Michael loudly announced to the rest of the plane that Horace played terribly and “didn’t deserve dinner.” Ouch. People knew that if they wanted to eat, they had to perform.

A woman recently found out that her husband had been writing sweet, romantic messages in her shoes for years. 6 years! It started when she noticed something nice written on the inside tongue of her fila shoes that she got from Poshmark. She assumed it was from the previous owner… but it wasn’t. Now, her hubby has some serious brownie points, but he’s also a little disappointed in her for JUST noticing!
Get ready Game of Thrones fans, August 21st will bring the long-awaited prequel, “House of the Dragon” to HBO. Maybe a lot of folks are disappointed with the finale of GOT that they aren’t interested, but they’ll change their minds after watching this!
This morning, a man changed his mind about flying at the wrong time.
He opened the door and slid down the wing of a moving aircraft at around 4:30AM this morning at O’Hare International Airport. Some video here from NBC Chicago…
Just another story to add to list of weird events that have transpired at the one of the world’s busiest airports. Here’s a handful of them:
34 people were hurt as the result of a Blue line train crashing at the O’Hare terminus back in 2014. NTSB investigated the accident and determined that the conductor fell asleep at the controls. Believe it or not, they estimated the speed of the train to be about 25MPH at the time. That’s all it took to do that kind of damage….crazy.
Goats, sheep, and yes, even a donkey have been employed by the city’s Department of Aviation to provide a cost-effective and environmentally sustainable way to keep the many fields surrounding the runways nice and trim. Not a baaaaad idea. — [eric]

A woman was worried her dog might have a medical issue because her K9 friend kept passing gas… and it was BAD. She said it smelled worse than rotten eggs so she took her dog to the vet to see what was going on. The vet had no clues after a lot of testing. They changed the food and that didn’t fix the problem. After several weeks, and thousands of dollars in vet bills, the truth came out. Her hubby had been blaming it on the dog the entire time! She kicked him out of the house for the night and you better believe he’s paying for half the vet bills. He ended up having to go to the doctor and changing HIS diet. Karma.

You saw the video of the guy who caught a ball while holding his baby and drinking a beer. Not everyone has that much talent. Like this man. He gave it his all when trying to catch a foul ball but he lost his beer and it all went downhill from there. Hope it was worth it!
