The National Suicide Prevention Hotline has changed up to the 988 Suicide & Crisis Hotline. A nationwide easy to remember three digit number comes along with a slight rebrand to give those experiencing a tough time a place to turn to.

However, we aren’t done with our work here. After reading my morning e-mail from The Hustle, there apparently are only 13 states that have put in place funding to support this initiative — and that does NOT include Illinois. So — lean on your lawmakers! Let’s get this changed!

Oopsies! A Cameraman at the Track and Field World Championships was so busy watching everyone else he forgot to watch where he was going! He stood in the middle of Lane 2 with his back to the front runners. The athletes had to didge him and probably lost some serious time because of it!

What you need to know before Lollapalooza!
Lollapalooza is one of the biggest festivals of the year, and if you’re going you’re going to need to know some of these things beforehand!
METRA- The Metra trains plan to expand service during the festival.
BAG POLICY- All bags are searched before entry, backpacks are not allowed as are bags with multiple pockets. They must be clear, and they can not be larger than 12 inches x 12 inches x 6 inches.
ALLOWED and PROHIBITED ITEMS-
Blankets, sheets, towels, baby strollers, cameras, water bottles, sunscreen, and frisbees, are all allowed.

A domino’s delivery driver rescued a family from a burning home in Indiana!
A brave Domino’s Pizza delivery driver in LaFayette, Indiana was driving by a home around 12:30 on Monday, and saw that it was engulfed in flames. He called 911, got out of his car, and ran into the house to rescue 4 sleeping kids. He alerted the three who were able to make it out on their own. Then he went back in to grab the last child and jumped out of a window with her. He suffered smoke inhalation and is now in the hospital. All of the kids are going to be fine thanks to him!

A man at the All-star game couldn’t help himself and pushed a bunch of little kids to try to get a baseball autograph. Not exactly hero material or the look the MLB wants. You can see him voicing his displeasure at the kid who pushes him back!

Billy Corgan announces Highland Park charity show for shooting victims
Billy Corgan has called Highland Park home for two decades. And now, he’s helping out his home.
The Smashing Pumpkins lead has announced a charity show for the victims of the July 4th shooting happening later this month at his tea shop, Madame Zuzu’s.
In a video shared on Twitter, he & his partner Chloe Mendel are asking people to tune in on YouTube for the free show and donate what they can. They also say “members of the Smashing Pumpkins family” and other special guests will be joining them as well.
Tune in July 27th at 8PM CST.
