The Salt Shed is a new music venue in Chicago and it opens today! Located in the historic Morton Salt factory on North Elston Avenue, it’s the perfect place for outdoor summer shows. Renovations are still underway for the indoor side of things, but that section will be open in 2023. For now, you can catch Death Cab For Cutie there on the 24th of September!
This guy walked into several Arby’s with this specific coupon, and he was able to get his free sandwich without a shirt or shoes every time. But don’ the crosses mean, if you have no shirt that’s a “no?” Someone get this a sandwich!

Mayor Lori Lightfoot told festival revelers this weekend that Lollapalooza and the City of Chicago have reached an extension to keep things rolling here through 2032.
And according to Block Club Chicago, the festival might even get bigger and better. More on that here.
There have been whispers that DeLonge is back in Blink-182, and he just added more gas to that rumor fire! First, he posted a classic Mark, Tom, and Travis image on his Instagram, then he changed his social media bios to say “blink-182.” The same day that Tom put up his post… Mark did this! Please say it’s true boys!!
Brian, Ali, & Justin had their feet on the ground as Lollapalooza came to a thrilling conclusion thanks to our friends, Green Day. Yes, seeing them rip through St. Jimmy, Boulevard of Broken Dreams, and Minority was incredible, but our personal highlight was seeing Crew Member Abby hop on stage and play alongside the band during their cover of Operation Ivy’s “Knowledge”. Check out the footage from Brian’s Tall Guy Cam.

Metallica let “Eddie Munson” from Stranger Things play with them before a festival and called him the 5th member! So rad! Joe Quinn had been practicing their music for two years straight, and then the band gave him a signed guitar from the show too!

PAWS Chicago hosted their annual beach party on Wednesday at Offshore Bar on Navy Pier. There were adorable pups from PAWS walking around for adoption , and it took all of the strength in my body to not bring home a black and tan puppy named Taj. But I digress, the beach themed bash featured island vacays to bid on, Hawaiian lays for all, and delicious snackies for humans and doggos. The night was topped off by a beautiful speech from Paula Fasseas, founder of PAWS. In 1997, she went into a city pound and knew that something had to change after seeing how many animals never made it out. She was the at the forefront of the “no-kill” model and this movement has reduced the killing of homeless pets entering Chicago shelters by 91%
Now it’s 2022, and PAWS Chicago has several facilities, including a medical building where they’ll perform 17,000 spay and neuter surgeries. They’re on track to get 5,000 animals adopted this year!
Orcas, or Killer Whales, are at the top of the chain. Sorry, Great White Sharks, they’re the real hunters of the sea. Lately, the orcas have been going more south to hunt due to changing environments, and now they’ve begun hunting Great White Sharks. This is rare footage of Orcas going after a giant shark…
According the originator of Lollapalooza, it’s going to stay in Chicago ten more years! Perry Ferrall of Jane’s Addiction started Lolla in the 90’s when it traveled all around. Now it’s here to stay in Chicago for at least another decade, and they’re still planning on doing it in other countries again too.
You laugh, you’re going to hell! This man decided to mess with a shark.. and lost!
