This woman, Jordana Grace, found an article from the 1950’s that listed off things that women could do to find a husband. Back in the days before Tinder and Bumble, people had to get attention from the opposite sex in different ways. Although, we don’t recommend trying any of these in present times. Some of the things Jordana lists off are ‘get a sunburn’ or ‘cry in a corner.’ This might get you attention, but if it got any woman a hubby, even back then, we’d be shocked!

Big love to everyone who rolled through The Salt Shed on 8/1 for the Cage the Elephant after party.
Y’all came in like a wrecking ball of Social Cues and Ain’t No Rest energy, and turned that place into straight-up chaos—in the most beautiful way. The sweat, the screams, the unfiltered Cage madness? Chef’s kiss.
Whether you were still riding high from the main show or just needed somewhere to let your Cold Cold Cold soul loose—Chicago showed up and showed out.
Next time you hear the call to the wild, answer it. We’ll be waiting, amps cranked, no apologies.
🎤 Tell me I’m pretty? Nah—tell me you’ll be back.
Stay unhinged. Stay loud. Stay Chicago.

Massive thanks to everyone who packed The Salt Shed for Djo w/ Post Animal on 7/31/25! You danced, you screamed, you probably lost your voice (we know we did). The vibes were immaculate, the fits were elite, and the air smelled faintly of nostalgia and patchouli.
Whether you came for the music, the mustaches, or just to say you were there—we see you, and we love you.
In an exclusive interview with Case Lowe, executive producer of Q101’s Brian & Kenzie, AEW President Tony Khan announced that for the first time ever, AEW’s year-end pay-per-view, Words End, will be coming to the Chicagoland area. Khan spoke on bringing Worlds End to Chicagoland, noting, “We’ve had such a great run of AEW TV these past few weeks…we’ve had so many great pay-per-view shows here over the years. I thought it would be great for the first time ever, this holiday season, to bring AEW Worlds End to the Chicagoland area at least…I’m very excited to announce December 27th, for the first time ever, AEW Worlds End is coming to Chicago. We’re going to have a great event. It’s going to be a great way to spend the holiday weekend. Saturday, December 27th, for the first time ever, AEW Worlds End at the NOW Arena, where it all began for us.”
Chicagoland will now follow in the footsteps of Uniondale, New York and Orlando, Florida, who hosted the first two editions of Worlds End. This will be AEW’s first pay-per-view at the NOW Arena since All Out 2024.
AEW issued the following press release on the announcement of Worlds End:
All Elite Wrestling today announced that NOW Arena in Hoffman Estates, IL will host AEW Worlds End on Saturday, December 27. The event will air live around the world on pay-per-view.
Tickets for AEW Worlds End will go on sale Monday, September 8 at 10 AM CT via Ticketmaster.com and AEWTix.com. Fans interested in early access presale opportunities can register to become an AEW Insider by visiting allelitewrestling.com/aew-insider.
Additional information on AEW Worlds End will be announced in the near future.

Our Pencil Drive took off this Spring, so now that it’s “back to school” timing, we’ve partnered with Chicago’s Cradles to Crayons to help raise funds for Chicagoland children school supplies!
Starting school without the tools needed to succeed can put big obstacles in a developing child’s way. Items like backpacks, art supplies, writing tools, and back-to-school clothing and shoes are imperative to help get children mentally, emotionally, and physically prepared for school. With these tools, they are more likely to attend school and complete homework — knowing they have the same chance at school success as their peers. Parents can focus on rent and groceries instead of facing the stress of school-related expenses.

Dave Navarro, Eric Avery and Stephen Perkins filed a lawsuit this week against Farrell, citing the onstage altercation between Navarro and Farrell in 2024 that resulted in the cancellation of their reunion tour and the final dissolution of the long-running band. The band members are seeking at least $10 million, claiming that they lost that amount due to the tour’s cancellation and suspension of all band activities.
