A mother in Florida has been charged with a variety of digital-based crimes after she hacked into her daughter’s school district’s computers to manipulate votes in her daughter’s favor for Homecoming Court. Police say they found 170 votes going towards her daughter coming from the same IP address. To make matters worse, the mother responsible for this was an assistant principal at an elementary school in the same district.
