Guess how much an unopened “Super Mario Bros.” cartridge went for?

An unopened copy of Super Mario Bros. for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) was sold at auction this month — for more than $100,000.

Apparently they treat these things like rare sports cards — sealed in plastic, and given a rating of 9.4 by a collectibles grading site, the new owner may not have it long.  According to this story from CNET, he might turn around and flip it soon.

I have one of those Duck Hunt guns with my name in red marker and used bubble gum stuck to the bottom of it somewhere in my basement.  Do I hear $50?  Anyone?  Anyone?  — [eric]
