Killers frontman Brandon Flowers will induct the Cars into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame at the ceremony happening on April 14.
The Cars’ influence on the Killers is no secret. In an EW article, Flowers said the Cars song “Just What I needed” changed his life. A few years before that, he told the Guardian that he bonded with his brother to that song: “(The Cars) had it down. If you want to hear where the Killers got their ideas, just listen to the Cars. They’re so good, it’s depressing.”
HBO will be taping the ceremony on April 14 to air on May 5.
