Despite the Illinois Department of Revenue’s attempt to call off the dogs for the day, The Wiener’s Circle (2622 N. Clark St.) will not shut down due to a notice prohibiting it from making sales caused by a paperwork mix-up, according to managing partner Carl Carbone. Because the stand can’t sell hot dogs today, it’s giving them away for free, while supplies last. (READ MORE HERE)
