08/05/25 – National Night Out Against Crime Celebration
Get ready, Munster! Our 30th Annual National Night Out Against Crime Celebration is just around the corner! Join us on Tuesday, August 5, 2025, in and around the Munster Community Pool at 8837 Calumet Avenue, Munster, Indiana. This highly anticipated event, consistently ranked among the top National Night Out celebrations in the nation, is all about fostering strong, positive relationships between our police department and the community we serve. It’s a fantastic opportunity for residents of all ages to engage in fun activities while learning about crime prevention and safety.
Prepare for an evening packed with excitement! The celebration kicks off with a lively Community Parade, followed by free swimming for Munster residents, engaging games, fantastic door prizes, and demonstrations from our incredible K-9 unit. You’ll also find over 140 booth participants offering valuable safety information and resources, emergency vehicle displays, a captivating magic show, and live music. The festivities culminate in an awesome fireworks show, generously sponsored by Krazy Kaplan’s!

Our events in 2025 are as follows: Candlelight Vigil to honor victims of impaired driving on April 10th in Springfield Law Enforcement Recognition and MADD Heroes on September 6th Walk Like MADD (Schaumburg, Sherman and O’Fallon) in September and October Law Enforcement Recognition Night with the Schaumburg Boomers on August 6th @ 6:30pm
