Marilyn Manson Signs With Nuclear Blast, Teases New Music

Marilyn Manson Signs With Nuclear Blast, Teases New Music

Marilyn Manson has reportedly signed a new record deal with the independent metal label Nuclear Blast.

A snippet, captioned "NB x MM," posted on social media by Manson, which Nuclear Blast shared as well, teases new music from the singer, the first since a slew of sexual abuse allegations that put a halt to his career. A representative for Nuclear Blast is said to have confirmed to Rolling Stone that the label has inked a deal with Manson. The audio clip shared by the singer on social media sees him whispering the line, "Keep sleeping/ I'll make you dream of me."

It is not yet known if Manson has just a new single or if a full album from him is in the pipeline. Manson's last album was We Are Chaos in 2020.

Tame Impala's Kevin Parker Sells Song Catalog To Sony Music Publishing

Tame Impala's Kevin Parker Sells Song Catalog To Sony Music Publishing

Sony Music Publishing has acquired the complete song catalog of Tame Impala's Kevin Parker.

The deal expands the company's longstanding partnership with Parker, which first began in 2009, with SMP representing his entire catalog of songs as well as future works.

Parker is popular as the frontman and brainchild behind the Australian psych-rock band Tame Impala. Parker wrote, produced, mixed, sung and performed across every song on Tame Impala's acclaimed albums Innerspeaker, Lonerism, Currents and their latest album The Slow Rush.

"The idea of passing on ownership of my songs is one that I don't think about very lightly, at all," Parker said. "They are the fruit of my blood, sweat and creativity over all the years I've been a recording artist and songwriter so far."

"I have a lot of love and trust for the Sony publishing family and have only had great experiences with Damian Trotter and the rest of the gang worldwide," he added. "I don't think my songs could be in any safer hands than Sony's, and I'm excited for the future and happy I can keep working with them on whatever the future brings."

Chairman & CEO, Sony Music Publishing Jon Platt said, "I have always admired Kevin Parker and I believe he is one of the most versatile songwriters of our time. Kevin has built a catalog of songs with incredible range and enduring power, and he has always stayed true to his vision. It is a privilege to represent his music, and we are committed to broadening his legacy of success."

Creed's Scott Stapp, Wife Jaclyn Getting Divorced After 18 Years Of Marriage

Creed's Scott Stapp, Wife Jaclyn Getting Divorced After 18 Years Of Marriage

Creed frontman Scott Stapp and his wife Jaclyn Nesheiwat have filed for a divorce, deciding to part ways after 18 years of marriage.

Scott and Jaclyn, who first met at an event for Muscular Dystrophy Association in New York, got married on February 11, 2006.

According to a statement obtained by Billboard, a representative for Stapp said in a statement that Scott intends to navigate this difficult time privately.

"After much prayer and consideration, Jaclyn has chosen to end her 18-year marriage with Scott," Jaclyn's representative said in a statement. "It's been a long battle, and while this isn't the future she envisioned, she wishes him the best. The welfare of their children will always be her utmost concern, and she kindly asks for privacy during this personal time."

Jaclyn filed for divorce first in June 2022 and later withdrew. Stapp filed his divorce application in Williamson County, Tennessee, in May 2023, according to court documents obtained by People.

The couple share three children together - daugher Milan (17), and sons Daniel (13) and Anthony (6). Stapp is also dad to son Jagger (25), with ex-wife Hillaree Burns.

In March, Stapp opened up to People about the ways in which Jaclyn and their children had helped him truly understand the meaning of family following a difficult childhood.

"I never had a family like this. They've really demonstrated to me what a family is all about, and having each other's backs and sticking together," he said. "It's definitely something that's rubbed off on me and that I've learned from, and hopefully we'll be able to carry that forward in my life no matter how the story unfolds."

Chvrches' Lauren Mayberry Opens Up About Online Abuse

Chvrches' Lauren Mayberry Opens Up About Online Abuse

In an interview with BBC News Channel 4's Cathy Newman, Chvrches frontwoman Lauren Mayberry opened up about online abuse.

Mayberry, who was among the artists who took part in an initiative called "Change The Tune" to raise awareness for the issue, recalled the harassment, including rape or death threats she received on the internet for about a decade and warned that the "cyber misogyny" experienced by women and girls every day is both dangerous and isolating. Mayberry recalled how she was overly sexualized by "a lot of men" online from the very start of her career.

"It's all very sexual and sexualized all the time," she said. "And I look at that and I'm like, I was a 23-year-old girl, trying to do my job, just to write some silly songs. I didn't know that that was going to be such a big part of it."

The singer spoke about the threats of violence she received online after expressing disappointment in Marshmello's decision to work with Chris Brown and Tyga. The comments came in light of Brown previously admitting to assaulting then-girlfriend Rihanna and Tyga being sued for sexual assault.

Mayberry said one person threatened to "bash her skull in" if she continued to make comments about Brown, leading to her hiring private security at her home.

She also said that "deepfake" pornography impacted her and added that it would have been far more powerful if she were younger.

"It just felt like another version of the same thing. It's like a decade of intermittently receiving rape or death threats on the internet," she told the BBC.

"Even though people say 'It's not real, it's not real.' Your brain does not perceive that, I don't think. The impact of it on your psychology, it doesn't really matter whether you think that's real."

"I don't think the 'just ignore it and it'll go away' argument is working [.] I definitely did a lot of panic crying before gigs and then I think I do remember us specifically getting to the end of that tour and it was the first time in the band," she concluded. "I took two weeks off and went to a little remote location and cried a lot in baths."

The Killers' 'Mr. Brightside' Become U.K.'s Biggest Single Yet To Reach No. 1

The Killers' 'Mr. Brightside' Become U.K.'s Biggest Single Yet To Reach No. 1

The Killers' "Mr. Brightside" has become the U.K.'s biggest single yet to reach No. 1 on the Official Charts.

In the 20 years since "Mr. Brightside" made its debut on the U.K. Official Singles Chart, it's made an indelible mark on British pop culture and turned Las Vegas band The Killers into honorary Brits. A synth-laden anthem about infidelity, "Mr. Brightside" is the longest-running Top 100 hit in Official Chart history.

To mark 20 years since "Mr. Brightside" entered the chart and the anniversary of the band's debut album Hot Fuss which turns 20 this summer, Official Charts presented The Killers' co-founder Brandon Flowers with a brand-new Official Top 10 Award to crown the record's iconic status as the biggest Top 10 hit of all time.

The Killers are set to celebrate the achievement with fans as they return to the U.K. and Ireland this summer with the Rebel Diamonds Tour, performing 16 arena shows including four nights at Manchester's Co-Op Live and six nights at The O2 in London.

Official Charts confirmed that "Mr. Brightside" has overtaken Oasis's "Wonderwall" to become the U.K.'s most successful song of all time with combined U.K. sales and streams of 5.57 million.

Reacting to the news, The Killers told Official Charts, "Thank you so much to all our fans for making Mr. Brightside the third biggest song of all time in the UK, and the biggest ever not to have reached Number 1; not yet at least!"

Blur Share Trailer For 'To The End' Documentary

Blur Share Trailer For 'To The End' Documentary

Blur recently released a trailer for their upcoming new feature-length documentary, called Blur: To The End.

The documentary, which is directed by Toby L, follows the band's first album in eight years. It tells the story of the bandmembers getting back together for their 2023 album The Ballad of Darren.

The documentary will come to U.K. and Irish cinemas beginning July 19.

According to a press release, the documentary will "follow the unique relationship of four friends - and bandmates of three decades - Damon Albarn, Graham Coxon, Alex James and Dave Rowntree as they came together in early 2023 to record new songs ahead of their sold-out, first-ever shows at London's Wembley Stadium in July last summer."

Speaking in the film, Alex James said, "We've barely communicated for the last 10 years. I mean even when we really split up, it didn't take this long to make a record, but what's wonderful is as soon as the four of us get in a room together, it's just exactly the same as it was when we were all 19.."

"To The End is an intimate glimpse into relationships, motivation and mortality, the sights and sounds of long-term friendship unearthing a fresh new conquest to overcome together," said Toby L.

"On the subject of capturing a band that has been so well documented, we sat down at the start of the project and agreed that the film had to tell a new story, be shot entirely on location, and crucially, be honest. In To The End, that's what I hope people can see, and most importantly, feel," he continued.

Josh Connolly produced the documentary via production house Up The Game.
