11/21 – 11/30: A Night of Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness

Tickets On-Sale Now!

Billy Corgan achieved stratospheric fame as the founder, frontman, and creative force behind the legendary Smashing Pumpkins. A Grammy winner whose powerful songwriting, commanding vocals, and inventive melodies were the foundation for the massive, decade-defining double album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, Corgan now teams up with Lyric Opera of Chicago, his hometown company, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of this groundbreaking album with his signature boundary-pushing, innovation, and imagination.

The result is A Night of Mellon Collie and Infinite Sadness, a new commission inspired by one of the greatest alternative albums of all time. You’ll hear Billy Corgan and special guest artists along with the epic sound of the Lyric Opera Orchestra and Chorus in a completely new, sonic and visual experience. Whether you love the Pumpkins and are excited to hear their music in a sumptuous new dimension, or you simply crave the opportunity to hear a new work inspired by the unexpected, this promises to be one of the can’t-miss cultural collaborations of the season.

5/17/25 – Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk 2025

5/17/25 – Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk 2025

Get ready to lace up your running shoes for a meaningful cause!

The annual Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk is returning in 2025, offering a fantastic opportunity for community members of all ages to come together for a day of fitness and philanthropy. This beloved event honors the memory of Lew Blond, a dedicated Maple School teacher who tragically lost his battle with Lou Gehrig’s Disease (ALS). Participants can look forward to a USATF-certified 5K course, as well as a 1-mile run/walk and a fun-filled Little Lew 50-Yard Dash for the youngest runners. Beyond the races, expect a vibrant atmosphere with a race expo, refreshments, and an awards ceremony.

This event is more than just a race; it’s a powerful way to support vital ALS research and make a difference in the lives of those affected by this devastating disease. All proceeds from the Lew Blond Memorial 5K Run/Walk benefit the Les Turner ALS Foundation, contributing to their ongoing efforts to find treatments and a cure. Please consider joining us for a day of community spirit and charitable giving. To learn more about the Les Turner ALS foundation, and to contribute to their cause, please visit these links:

May 17th, 2025 – The race begins and finishes at Maple School, located at 2370 Shermer Road, Northbrook, IL.
