For the past few years now, the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has started using a ‘Vote Your Choice’ initiative to influence who gets the honor in their annual class of inductees. Well, several 101WKQX beloved bands could be getting the nod his year as Blink-182 and Weezer lead the fan voting along with several others including Motley Crue, pop singer Cher, heavy metal legends Iron Maiden, and Dave Matthews Band.
This was revealed in a recent Instagram post from the museum in Ohio with a screen displaying who was getting the most votes with Crue leading the pack.
So, um, let’s talk priorities for a minute here.
A new survey asked people what they’re more worried about increasing: Their credit score . . . or their Instagram following.
And the answer is . . . their credit score. But it was close.
59% of people say they worry about increasing their credit score . . . and 48% worry about increasing their Instagram following. People could give more than one answer, clearly, so there are definitely some people out there stressing about both.
The survey also found 36% worry about increasing their rating on Uber and Lyft . . . 21% worry about increasing their video game scores . . . and 19% worry about increasing their ranking on Yelp.

Ever wonder why Brian, Ali, and Justin always say Ahoy?
We don’t know what’s in the Chick-fil-A water, but we want to start drinking it. Time after time, their employees have gone above and beyond for their employees. This time, however, a Chick-fil-A employee in Virginia went down under to help a customer out.
A woman in Virginia was getting out of her van at the restaurant when she dropped her phone in the parking lot and down in went into a storm drain. Not to fear, Seth a digital marketing director with the chain, stepped in.
Seth sliced his finger moving the manhole cover, but gladly dived down and got the phone once the hole was big enough for him to dive into.
We don’t understand why Chick-fil-A employees are the way they are, but we love it.
An Ohio homeowner now takes claim to “the most random story in the world”.
The break-in transpired when an escaped male goat from a nearby farm repeatedly butted against a sliding glass door, breaking into the Ohio woman’s home.
The county sheriff’s deputies unsuccessfully tried to steer the goat away from the home with carrots, a dog bone, and grass. They eventually grabbed the goat by the horns and took care of business that way.

You can do almost anything, just be sure to create chaos.
Listen to the KQX Morning Crew from 6-10 am to find out when we’re taking calls for chaos.
Jared Leto reportedly was not too pleased with the recently released ‘Joker’ which starred Joaquin Phoenix in well-reviewed take on the ‘clown prince of crime’. The Hollywood Reporter in an article today reports that Leto was “alienated and upset” when the film got the green light to be produced. Leto had previously played the Joker role in another DC Comics-inspired film 2016’s ‘Suicide Squad’. In the article, Leto remarked that his performance in the film was “isolated” and he felt he “was off in the corner of the cafeteria watching all the other kids.”
The same article focuses mainly on the creative success of the film which despite controversy and how film legend Martin Scorsese almost ended up directing the film. Read it here.
No matter, Leto still kicks ass with 30 Seconds to Mars.
Would you wear a sweater that has not been washed in 26 years? Most likely you would say no. Would you wear it if that sweater was worn by Nirvana’s Kurt Cobain during his classic performance that was recorded for ‘MTV Unplugged’.
“It’s very important that we don’t wash it,” Darren Julien of Julien’s Auctions told Rolling Stone. “The stains are still there. There’s even cigarettes burns that you can see on the sweater.” The same auction house sold the sweater in 2015 for a winning bid of
$137,500, far exceeding the sweater’s pre-auction estimate of $60,000. How much do you think it will go for now? Should items like this even be up for auction?
