Starting in February, the state of New York will consider the use of “ticket bots” as a misdemeanor. Which means major fines and possible jail time for any scalpers caught using them. Bots are one of the biggest reasons show you want to buy tickets for will sell out in seconds and give you virtually no chance of actually getting a ticket without going through the secondary market.
