Mayor Lori Lightfoot was visibly mad this week at a press conference covering the ongoing Coronavirus crisis, and it got under her skin that many people were crowding the lakefront area and not maintaining social distancing.
So fast forward to today and the city has shutdown the majestic lakefront trail, the city riverwalk, and the 606 trail that runs through Logan Square. WE CAN’T HAVE NICE THINGS! If you violate the order, it will be a misdemeanor crime and you will be served a $500 fine.
