Although the spirit of it is well thought out, it turns out that not just any beach can be a nude beach. Loyola Beach in Rogers Park made headlines over the weekend when a nude beach sign appeared in the sand. The sign’s presence was brought to attention by 49th Ward Ald. Maria Hadden, who represents the area in the Chicago City Council.
A statement from a Chicago Park Districts spokesperson to NBC Chicago confirmed that the sign was unauthorized and had been removed Monday afternoon.
